Can you have more than one of the same object on a force?
Not on your staying force because they are unique.
However, you can have more than one object brought into the game via a "Wiedler" , since those come in from outside the game. So you could have 2 Astronomers, each of which bring in the same gem.
He would've been ridiculous with outwit. As he is now....hes just pretty good. He's only sporting a 3 damage and what....can prob through elevated? He REALLY needed outwit.
I'm pretty sure I can make him work without him being a front line combatant. Not everything comes down to Outwit and damage. He's a support piece par excellence. Dual TK two Silver Sables (or one if you're not into that) and a Elder for free, and leave LOF open for him to bat clean up.
Hardly. I am absolutely sick of how often Elektra gets made. I don't understand what her place is in this set.
I think it seems like she gets made a lot because when they make her lately she takes up multiple slots (that could be going to unmade characters or needed remakes ). I share the disdain to some degree.
These three versions of her seem to have a lot of utility, but I really dislike SF, unless it’s for a character that actually changes in the middle of battle (SF Vision is brilliant). It seems very contrived in practice for most cases (this Elektra included, IMO), and an inefficient use of set slots. Not a fan.

CarlosMucha: that is like be running in a Olimpic race competition just one step to get the gold and then a Giant children place a mirror in your side and you discover what you are really a hamster over a whell and the gold is just a slice of chess. Avatar Summoning: Original GotG, Melter, Whiplash
Thor, Batman Animated, Earth X. All of these with objects had the objects paired with rare, SR, or Chase pieces, since you only see 7 or 8 rares in a brick, 3 SR and maybe 1 chase, given the right distribution, one could very easily get a brick with zero objects.
Most Wanted:DC Super Friends - El Dorado, Rima.
Finish the classic Legion of Super-Heroes - Light(ning) Lass, Ferro Lad, Chemical King, Quizlet.
My personal opinion:
Infinity gems will be with illuminati
The first 3 rare will be 3 illuminati with 3 gems
The first 3 super rare will be 3 illuminati with 3 gems
The first 4 chase will.have 2 cosmic cubes and 2 gauntlets
The ultrachase will have object
I have to say I'm in the "scared of object rarity" boat after the opening videos so far.
It's looking to me like we are going to get 4-5 objects with chases, one with the super chase, and the remaining 5-6 with super rares. If cases average one chase and 6 SRs i believe that means an "average" case will have about half the SR objects (gems?) and 50% chance at a chase with an object.
Depending on the price difference between characters with objects and those without, buying more than one case becomes an increased crap shoot do to the possibility of duplicate SRs and even Chase. Add to that the luck factor of being able to pull all or none of the SR objects in a single case... and I'm left unsure if I'll stick by my original two case plan.
Sorry for the novel.
TLDR: Scott's video/object rarity = might not buy as much as I planned.

You're conflating 'power scale' with 'powers'. I'm not asking for a Gardener with Hypersonic Speed. I'm asking for a Gardener who does what the Gardener does, but isn't the focal point of my team's narrative.
Let's use Runner as an example.
Most of the Runner's appearances are distinctly non-combative, so the idea of building my team around a high-cost Runner seems... well, almost as 'inaccurate' as having a Runner who can't survive heavy fire. But as a largely pacifist character, I can easily accept a quick KO as 'leaving the battle'.
Let's say I'd like to recreate one of Runner's appearances. As a member of the Elders of the Universe, I need budget options or I can't build a 'team' of them at all. His other appearances largely revolve around racing other fast characters; to build a team like that, this Runner is again a perfect representation.
The only time this Runner would fail to re-create a comic appearance, as far as I can find, is in battle with a cosmic powerhouse such as Thanos or Galactus. At those times, I assume I'd just reach for the IG Runner...
I think we just want different things, and that's all right. I care a lot less about the team-building, meta, etc. aspects of the game and just like the characters. For me, I'd prefer we had one definitive version of each character that did what they did in the comic books at the scale they did them. But I know for the sake of the game play, that's not always possible.

Maybe buy one case and then save the rest to buy singles?

At this point, this is what I'm expecting- and that could be okay.

Different strokes, I guess.
Fair! I think that's what it boils down to.
I feel that this game spent a long time concerned only with power levels, which was great if you were a Thor fan team building his adventures, but terrible if you were a Daredevil fan trying to recreate the feel of his books.
Nowadays, we see a lot more variety of roles, which in turn makes remakes easier to stomach.
