I can't buy that shirt. The TARDIS is not supposed to be cylindrical in shape.
Oooh! Doctor Who nerd-out time!
A year or so back, a class of students won a surprise visit from Smith, Karen and Moffat. One of the students asked Moffat, "So what's the TARDIS really look like with the chameleon circuit off?". Moffat had no clue and decided on the spot, "It's a featureless sphere." and when Smith whispered to him, "Really?", Moffat's response was "Hey, I'm the new head of the show. That's now the official answer."
So, cylindrical wouldn't be too far off.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

The Doctor's Wife pretty much established that, too, methinks.
"Why would the possibility of me being wrong ever stop me from doing something?"
One thing I remember is that when U-Verse says they can record 4 channels at once, they really mean 4 non-HD channels. Recording an HD channel took up 2 "jacks", so you could only record 2 HD shows at a time, just like Comcast.

...eh, he's a history professor Ph. D, so not as impressive
In other words...not a real doctor.
(And before the PhD's here - we do have some, right? - get defensive, in fairness there's a reason I refer to myself as a physician and not a doctor because I do support the legitimacy of a doctorate giving the title to you "non-doctors". ).

Some equipment, and some service providers, are going to have a major problem with IPv6 functionality. Cogent reportedly is going to cause some headaches that day. If you have a bad day on Wednesday, it's a good sign that you're not ready for when the eventual actual switch occurs.
"Hey, I did this test, and it tells me that I won't work with guys who use IPv6 only!"
That means you'll be okay next Wednesday, but it also means you're not ready for the real deal.
"When is the real deal?"
Supposedly sometime here in 2011. That seems wholly unrealistic to me, though.
Depends on your results. If you're being told you'll be fine next Wednesday, but utterly screwed when the final switch occurs, you probably don't need to do anything, and your ISP is going to handle it all. They'll assign you an IPv6 address, you won't have a clue it happened, and everything'll be right as rain.
Unless they suck.
There's a few ISPs out there that are getting a bad rep already for the way they handle IPv6 addressing.
However....
If you have a crappy router, or your modem is old as hell, and you have problems next Wednesday, you may want to look into replacing that device.
I should also really stress that it doesn't make any difference how your internal network addressing works. Your modem/router is where it matters. Unless you have an internal network with a million machines. Which some companies do, which is why they're running IPv6 internally already.

Got exams which contribute 40% of my degree in 3 weeks time, so I spent 9 hours in the library today, which is the longest period of time working I've ever spent in my whole life.
I mean, who knew you actually had to work to do well in exams?

I rarely did which is why I was such a disappointment to my undergrad professors (exams just came easy to me)...and why my ex-fiancee was so angry (to the point of ending us) when I got Johns and she (top of her department) was "on the wait list for Baylor".
In retrospect, I actually despise that part of myself and truely regret having been such a 'blow-off' type in college. In other words, you'll come to appreciate and respect that effort you're putting in now. I know it seems like it would be funner to be the above paragraph but, trust me, a decade down the road you'll be prouder of yourself than if you were able to coast.

I hate to say it but...it did.
I mean, was she my ideal casting for it? No, but having Betty Draper in her era actually worked out decently. It made the January Jones casting - and the woeful underutilization of Emma - transition much smoother than I was expecting.
James McAvoy needs to be in an episode of "Doctor Who" ASAP and no man should be ashamed to question their heterosexuality just because they "man-crush" on him.
Really, the whole thing being in the 60's just worked out awesomely. This may sound like faint praise based on my distaste of most of the X-Men movies (#2 was solid but the rest were....embarrassing) but this was the best of them, I think. What that really means is you'll feel your ticket money didn't go to waste, I think.
I suspect seeing this on a properly good screen and in a participative audience - one scene during recruitment montage has got to get an audience reaction - to be a pretty enjoyable movie-going experience.
Oh, and Ray Wise has a cameo in it. Not an important one but -everything- is cooler when Ray Wise shows up in it.
