I'd be fine with that. I'm sad that you won't be down this weekend, but it softens the blow to know that there's hope for a summer gathering.

The reasoning was mostly I don't have a job yet, and we HAVE to go back to OK at some point by summer's end. It's a finance thing.

On the other hand, K-Ness... the plates will be saved for one year, at least.

On a completely different topic, I have two new favorite TV shows:

- Hannibal (based on the early history between Hannibal Lecter and FBI profiler Will Graham from the book "Red Dragon").
- Bates Motel (set in modern day, this is a re-imagining of "Psycho's" Norman Bates in his teenage years.)

While I realize that serial killers are the main theme of the Tv series listed above, they both have some very creative writing that fleshes out the characters and hooks you early on. I recommend both of these shows to you all.

Really digging Hannibal, too. Mads is bit hard to understand at times, but visually... Who knew Bryan Fuller's direction could translate so well to horror.

Hey, so what's the deal with Fear Itself? Is this a mini-set, or will it be released normally like all of the other sets? Guess I should be paying closer attention to these things.

It's apparently only going to be released as part of the sealed events. Surprisingly, there isn't a FI event at GenCon from what I could see, which really seems like a missed opportunity.

It's basically an exclusive set that is only available through the Fear Itself tournament series. Each prize kit contains 20 boosters (one case) of Fear Itself, to be used for Sealed games during the tournaments.

So you can only buy FI boosters at sealed events? That blows. Hopefully they will have WK product for sale at Gen Con. Of course, I am sure that they'll charge $14 a pop per booster. Sigh...

The venue is not allowed to sell FI boosters as they are part of the prize kit. However, they are allowed to use leftover boosters as prizes in other events... As long as they are used to get more butts in seats as Ziran puts it, WK will be happy.

I finished the tiramisu for tonight's game. It came out lovely.

The meringue kisses I made with the extra egg whites are, for lack of a better term, incorrect. Oh well. They weren't meant for guests anyway.

At least I'm honing my culinary skills once again.
