Darkness Closing In

The darkspawn closed in around the drunken man, who hooted and hollered, kicking about with abandon as he grinned, “Is that the best you can do? HAH!” Hiccupping, the man spun his jug around and clobbered a nearby fellow, blinking a bit, “Oops! Sorry about that, here, let me help you…” Then he blinked, seeing a red dot on his chest, “Well, that’s decidedly stran…” The gunshot to his chest ended his sentence, and his life, causing him to fall to the ground.

The droid rummaged through something, muttering about stinking meatbags under his breath, his gratitude at being rebuilt fleeting. Then he suddenly heard a voice behind him, “Your power… I need it. I almost have all that I require…” The droid turned, then suddenly felt a twisted power seizing him, his power cells draining with astonishing speed. The optics blinked dead, and the droid collapsed again, with no asari to rebuild him this time.
