Hasn't the whole "Mutants going extinct" plot been done to death? and if the terrigen mists were killing mutants why hasn't this been a thing for over a year already?

"going extinct", "done to death"...that's some next-level wordsmithing right there!

Wait....are they saying that since the Terrigen mists make mutants sterile, then no more mutants can be born? Are they saying that every mutant born MUST have had mutant parents? Are they saying that regular people cannot have mutant kids? Are they saying that we're stupid and will never see the flaw in their logic?
