I love that we'll get to play as him, but I had actually been hoping to see him as a boss at some point (just to get new AIM generic enemies).

I got the level 4 package.

I am tempted to buy it but I am still miffed by the shard thing. But. It does give me 3 roster spots for $20 + all the other stuff, so it seems worth it. But the shards...

I do not. How so?

1 - I'm pretty sure Harpua was going for the pervert joke. When in doubt, that rule applies most of the time. All I'll say is, if offered, Harpua's package can stay with Harpua.

2 - If meant literally, I will attest that in the game, I was not offered the same package that Harpua listed. It's why I made careful note of what was offered, so folks had the comparison. If I do get that level 6 package, I would go for it. And I'm leaning towards taking the level 4 package, as for $20 it's better than loonies, and I've done loonies lots of times.

Had I not just gotten the lvl 6, this would be tempting, but I do not think it will get me to bite.

(That said, I am curious if biting on this would lead to a level 8 pack.)

I bought the level 4 pack. It was too good to pass up for the HP and the 3*s at my level.

I also bought the level 4 pack and .... almost had a Shard issue.

With BHs, I assigned my highest (non-feeder) 3* to BH in order accelerate my second max-champ. Before shards, that was SW. When shards came around, I considered if I would change strategies and decided, no, I still wanted to rush the toons to get to max.

SW was at 261 and I bought the pack. I hit the level up on the first cover, taking her to 262 and realized ... the 6-pack was going to push SW over the top and she was only 32 shards away from a cover. I would think that the shards would transfer to the new crop, but I didn't want to take the chance ... so I mathed it out (2 standards and 2 heroics) to get exactly 32 shards, took her to 263 with the shards, and then maxed her out (and used the 2 remaining covers for SW3).

My current shard issue is with 3*'s, too, but it's slightly different.
My 3* characters are in one of three states.
1) Max-Champed
2) Champed and progressing
3) Rebuilding (0-13 covers)

I keep one copy of every character in state #1 at all times.
I also have a second copy of every character in one of the other states.
Once both copies are in state #1, one of them is sold.

My 3* favorite is based on this. If I have anyone in state #3, then I favorite the one closest to 13 covers until that one hits 13 covers. If I have none there, then I favorite whoever in state #2 is closest to 266.

Right now I have Hood set as my favorite. His second copy is being rebuilt and is currently at 8 covers. I'm also up to 310ish shards on him.
I *could* cash those in for a cover, but I am waiting. I would hate to pick blue and then get a run of blues and no black or yellow to actually complete him.
So, in essence, what I've done is made it so that I'm really now trying to get Hood to 12 covers, and then I'll get that last cover by sharding all over him.
I very well may wind up with some number of extra shards hanging around after I champ him, but that is ok, I guess. They will still be there to start him out on his next cycle.

So the new shard thing. I suppose the smart thing to do would be to have only one favorite at a time at each level to level them up as fast as possible?

It depends on what you consider to be the smart thing.
That may depend on your play style and personal strategy preference.

For me right now, my 3* is only Hood as described above.

My 4* is currently only Juggy because I do want to get him built to higher levels.
That said, the only reason I'm allowing that to happen is because I have no unchamped 4* characters with the ability to be designated as favorites. The moment MODOK is able to be set as a favorite, then I'll switch over to him. If he is still not champed by the time the next 4* becomes able to be favorited, then I'll have two going.

For 5*, I'll just have to see what happens there. I save all of my LTs and CP in order to open as a huge spree. When that time comes I will need to see where things stand and will set characters based on that.
