He had to come out sooner or later. By the way, since Firelord's a flier, there's no reason he can't make a ranged attack against an adjacent figure. Meaning he could do his full 5 damage (minus Sabretooth's Toughness of course). The only reason he wouldn't be able to is if I had a character in stealth. Then of course, he couldn't draw lone of fire to make a ranged attack.

This leaves me a tough choice. Pass or push? Regenerate or attack? Or use one of my switches? I'll play conservative and pass.

Okay, Sabretooth's got Flurry and BCF on this click. I've got to give it a go. If I tried to regenerate, I'd need 4 or better to get to a point where Firelord can't just wipe me out next turn anyway. AV8 on DV18, needs a 10. That's rough, but at least I've got two shots at it. First attack - 3. Second attack - 7. That adds up to 10. Do I get a booby prize anyway? No? Okay. Finish me.

Sabretooth just snarled at her and lunged at Firelord. The former herald used his staff defensively, deftly blocking each of the mutant's attacks.

Ummmm...I pass. Don't forget the option to replace a character. Might be a good time to preserve Snagglepuss. We each could do this twice right?

I thought about switching, but decided to go for the glory instead. Incidentally - we never discussed the mechanics of the switch. I imagined it as instantaneous, so suddenly Sabretooth's out and Captain America's in and can move. Or we could say it takes a turn to switch them out.

You passed two turns in a row, by the way. Are you sure you didn't want to go, since there'd be no penalty?

Oh my mistake...I do want to go. And yes I figured if Sabretooth were to go out Cap could appear next turn. And I figure he could move right away? Agree? If you wanna redo that last move and replace I'll let you before I go...

Sabretooth lunges at Firelord and does his best to injure him. "Grrrrrrr," he yells.

"Owwwwww!" he says at he touches the flame.

With a bored sigh Firelord speaks, "Yes, fire burns. Surprise there. Second grade must have been very hard for you."

"Yeah yeah," Sabretooth replies, "Big fire guy can't fight like a man so he hides behind some flame."

"Well I am technically not a man but if you want to resort to your human warlike need for fisticuffs I will."

Walking to him Sabretooth cletches his fists. Firelord hits him with his flame fist. Sabretooth is out.

"Yeah for Firewalker, he wins!" sasy Tammy.

As predictable as Tammy's misnaming is a new contender appearing in the ring.

UP next- Deathstroke.

And in a possibly surprising action, he won't attack. Intead he rolls for breakaway. Gets a 4 - phew. Dashes to the cover of the object in E19. From there he Outwits Firelord's Barrier.
