First off I'm excited to see both of these guys as LEs and I think their dials look great, the only way spidey could be any better is if he had the spidey TA and a starting D of 18.


Secondly: Why is everyone complaining about Logan and Peter as LEs.if they hadn't had LEs in Ultimates then everyone would be saying that these are the best marqee LEs ever.

Heh, some of us just hate Wolverine. Or in my case, just terminally unexcited by the figures themselves. They look great, but I'm just not that big on either of them.

I'm a little unimpressed myself. I've always enjoyed new sets because they bring us new figures. To have TWO retreads of characters we have many multiples of for the MARQUEE tournament. Someone said it before, but it looks like the Aunt May pog will be more exciting than either of these staple figures. I wouldn't mind as much if they did these LEs later in the year, but Marquee prizes should be characers we've never seen before. I think what I may do, just so I have an excuse to play in the Marquees, is not buy any boosters when the set comes out and then hit up the Marquees not for the prizs really, but more for the boosters I'll have to buy to enter. (And Wolvie really does look like a goober from the neck up)

Well to throw my 2 cents in there. I love the way the bone claws wolvie looks, and I am gladly looking foward to the marquee in december. I really don't like any of the stats on the peter parker. For one reason he doesn't have the symbol that even the ultimate version has. He also doesn't get the perplex. I know everyone is talking about the double Incap but that doesn't impress me either. I normally play defender teams so maybe that i why he doesn't impress me.

Logan's sculpt is great, but his dial is lacking in defensive powers. Once he's off his Stealth/Toughness click, he's a ranged target. Aside from this problem, I rather like it.

OTOH, I don't like the Spider-Man sculpt, though the flying pose is kinda neat. Don't think the mid-dial Super Strength will work out well for some reason. I'm never happy to see Combat Reflexes on a figure. I still don't know when you're actually supposed to apply it. I think they should make it like Super Senses, roll a die, on a 5 or 6 you don't take damage, but get knocked back a number a squares equal to the damage you would have otherwise taken. The Flurry/Willpower/Outwit is a combo of pure evil! Thanks god Spidey doesn't have BCF to go along with it!

You know what guys, I'm getting sick of listening to everyone whine. I think it's great that Wizkids even THOUGHT of doing these characters in the first place. Spider-Man looks great, without that annoying Defend. He FINALLY has double shot with the incap in front, and a really nice defense as well. Wolverine while he has a low defense also has BCF and Charge, which is always welcome in my book. C'mon, people, CAN'T WE BE POSITIVE HERE?? I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU DO A BETTER JOB! Until then shut the hell up and stop dissing Wizkids.

Number of Spidermen with 17 def w/ Super senses = 0
So while he is 'more of the same' he does add some new things to the table.
Number of Wolverine variations = 15
that have the Xmen TA = 3
that have Charge = 2
I came into this game about 3 sets late so being able to get an Xman wolverine is good enough for me, let alone one that also has charge. So I am shooting for first OR fellowship with first I can take Spidey and trade him to my friend for his Judges prize or I may get the fellowship vote and win that way. Either way I will happily be heading to the Marquee and will PM my shipping address to anyone who wants to send me 'another crappy retread' of Spiderman or Wolverine.

I thought Defend was an interesting addition actually, and he does do it with his web-shield thing, but naw, he doesn't actually need it. And I'm certainly not complaining about Logan's Charge/BCF or Spidey's double incap.

I was kind of wondering about this one too.

Are they shipping 8 to each marquee, or are they just shipping the number registered (which will leave a lot of folks out since most of the folks at our marquees - or other tournaments - don't register online)?

Maybe this would be a decent time to chill out and wait to see what the actual figs look like. Compare LE-Maxwell Dillon to Electro and see what I mean.

The sky might not be falling after all, chicken littles.

Oh, and if any of you end up with an LE-Logan that you don't care about after the Marquee...let me know. I'm a Wolverine fan and I'll be after that one.
