If your a damage dealer people tend to solo till they hit around the 20's. Then you start teaming up, or join a good SG and then just start tearing through levels.

Originally posted by weezer_10 I'm a big spender on costume alterations and Single Origins, but at the moment I've got 20 million Influence saved up, I know I'm going to need it and probably a bit more when Issue #4 goes live (body sliders, tournament entrance fees, etc.) and when City of Villains hits; SUPERGROUP BASES! Yes, they're going to cost a pretty penny.
And for those who are into PvP on the test server right now, check this out (latest patch notes from the test server):
o Significantly altered the manner in which PvP Detoggle powers work. Instead of knocking down all toggle powers, each has a chance of knocking off one or more Toggles. The powers effected are:
* Blaster: Devices: Time Bomb
* Blaster: Devices: Trip Mine
* Blaster: Electrical Manipulation: Charged Brawl
* Blaster: Electrical Manipulation: Havoc Punch
* Blaster: Energy Manipulation: Bone Smasher
* Blaster: Energy Manipulation: Energy Punch
* Blaster: Fire Manipulation: Fire Sword
* Blaster: Fire Manipulation: Fire Sword Circle
* Blaster: Ice Manipulation: Frozen Fists
* Blaster: Ice Manipulation: Ice Sword
* Force Field: Force Bolt
* Force Field: Repulsion Bomb
* Force Field: Repulsion Field
* Inherent: Brawl
* Kinetics: Repel
* Peacebringer: White Dwarf Strike
* Storm Summoning: Lightning Storm
* Storm Summoning: Thunder Clap
* Warshade: Black Dwarf Strike

Yeah, I am going to be looking for your base every now and then Weezer. LOL I consider you my AE on City of Villians when it comes out. Of course you will probable out level me so I wont be anywhere near you LOL.
Yeah, they needed that. I used my FF Force Bolt like crazy. People Hated me when I did that to them. Of course my teams loved me for that. It needed to be brought back a little.
what is starting to annoy me is this, i tend to solo a lot at level 35 Energy Blaster i get by doing that and usually do not do teams, but now that i seem to be getting only missons with Arch villiams i will be forced to start building teams to take them out, cause you cant do it by yourself......
Even I have to call for help against Arch Villians. Either that or wait a level or 2 before I can FIght them. I use to have my Difficulty slider up to the Mid Mark but I usually have 2 or 3 Level 31's with me. Power Leveling some GDF Members. I cant handle all that.
At level 35 I havent run into any Arch Villians yet. I really am expecting them to show up.
Manchine, the first archvillain you will most likely face at that level will be the Envoy of Shadows (Circle of Thorns arc), and you will have to defeat him on three separate occasions.
But it's around level 40 the real fun starts; Psychic Babbage, Psychic Clockwork, Praetorians (like Tyrant, the evil version of Statesman), Carnies AVs; lots of uber enemies to keep your entertained right through to level 50.
The toughest AV I've come across so far (not counting Psychics) would have to be Marauder, if you don't have much smash/lethal protection, you'd better stay well back away from him. Marauder has the tendancy to immune himself from Smash/Lethal damage also, very nasty.
And yeah, happy to be an opponent to you Manchine; villainy is the biggest form of flattery in my opinion. I look forward to meeting your villain.
I have run into One ArchVillian, Dr. Vah. I was to high of a level to fight Maestro in Stirgi. I also Fought the ArchVillian in Bricks Taskforce.
I have seen and Faced the Envoy of Shadows. (It wasnt my Mission.) Right now I am Starting on the Circle of Thorns Missions. Just finished all the Rikti Missions. Always like to fight them (except the Mentalist).

I think I even remember doing a Dr. Vahzilok run with you and a few other GDF last year! Back when I was a fledgling level 18-21. Can you believe I actually thought Flurry was a cool power back then? :knockedou

Thank GOD for Respec's. Of course I have it but thats because the character has it. Mine are to much in character then what is best used for the game. I still have a Respec's I can use up that we got for after Christmas.
Quick question, how useful are Leadership powers in the game? (Yeah yeah, I know I just got done telling you I solo a lot and usually find myself in small two or three man groups, but I'm trying to build in character...)

A respec is a reward for doing a task force at three points in the game. In a respec, you repick all of you powers from level 1 up to your current level. The levels you get to do a respec are 24, 34, and 44.
And I wouldn't reccomend leadership. It doesn't effect your stats enough to make a noticeable difference. At least, that's how it was for Noble. Instead, get hasten. If you can 6-slot it and put in 6 single origin recharges on it, you can have auto hasten. I find it extremely useful.
The number one piece of advice I can give you is get fitness. A 6-slotted Stamina will help you TREMENDOUSLY. As a tank, endurance could be a serious problem without it.

Wow, that's good to know.
I take it you can re-allocate your enhancements slots as well, but what about the enhancements themselves?
Hmmm.

Trust me webhead, this game is sweet. Its amazing the things you can do with it, and now, with the 4th update coming out, you will have so many more costume ideas to choose from, plus player vs. player! And look for City of Villians coming this fall!
