Didn't they say one per household? Frankly, I'm more worried about online buyers getting fake receipts.
whats wrong with that....i hope EVERY onloine buyer goes this route.....the whole "support your local venue" is garbage......all WKids should care about is that you support WKIDS!!!
Personally my local dealer has a lot of other buyers for the case so Im worried I'll have trouble getting a brick from him. Perhaps I'll reserve it now.

....there it is! The first complaint from an online buyer on the thread, took longer than I thought....
And who made you the arbitrator of what WKids SHOULD and SHOULDN'T do? And even if your logic is correct...Local Venues support WKids...therefore if you support your Local Venue then you are supporting WKids...therefore, WKids encouraging people to support their local venues is in turn encouraging them to support themselves.
You should really get over it already, you've already posted enough about it in numerous other threads when this idea was first announceed....
Heroclix 5th Anniversary: Expect Nothing...you won't be as disappointed that way.

As usual, through thousands of posts, you are wrong.
As an Envoy and an employee of a brick and mortar HeroClix venue, I'm disgusted by your ignorance.
Additionally, the concept of supporting your local mom and pop brick and mortal retailer goes well beyond HeroClix and an Iron Man LE, as this issue will impact the nation's economic future more quickly than you think.
While I don't have a brick 'n' mortar anywhere around me for about 150 miles that still carries Clix (interest in my area TOTALLY died about a year ago), I'll gladly make a friend who has such a store and supply him with said funds to purchase a Brick for me.
First off I am an online buyer simply because of costs. I have no problem w/ the marketing idea and thinks actually a good way to boost sales, but I won't be joining in. Why spend a $100 to get random clixs when I could spend that money and get exactly what I want (probably most of the set if its anything like Icons or Fantastic Forces). The chance to buy a Dark Phoenix is cool but I don't know if its worth it.
The Iron Man unique is certainly not worth it. Yes, I do like the retro look but is he a good fig? The 9 attack really kills it for me (at 100 points I expect at least one click of 10), also the RCE doesn't come until he has an attack of 8. Yes the outwit and invul are very nice and he has a decent defense but I keep coming but to the 9 attack. A slightly better attack would have made this a good fig. As it stands he seems to be below average for serious play.
Why would I want to spend $100 just to get the chance to buy a sub-par fig? If heroclix really wanted me to buy a brick the Fig would almost have to be broken (Say Ult Thor or KC GL). Good idea by wizkids but in the end its poorly executed.
:disappoin

i have gotten over it long ago, i have also figured out a way over, around, and through it so when AW comes out..i will be getting 4 iron man LEs (delivered to different addresses of course) & an extra DP.
its called free enterprise baby, you want my $ then you better have the cheapest prices.....and the cheapest prices are ONLINE

I can see why a local retailer wouldn't want me to shop online. The problem is I get more bang for my buck online. If all things were equal (or even slightly close) I would shop locally. Truth is used clixs cost much more at your local store, I have seen figs priced at twice the cost of what I can buy them online for (even after shipping). Thats often the rule and not the exception.
To be honest heroclixs is not cheap to get into and at $2 for each random fig it never will be (especially when you figure in how many duplicates you get).
Local vendors if you want my business then you must at least try to be competitive. I want to buy from you I really do......

How do you play clix? At a venue? Ever considered buying at least some boosters there to keep them in business? Or else, pretty soon, you could end up at home playing with yourself...
The bucks would still be going to a brick and mortar... isn't that the point of this?
I truly wish that I myself COULD get to one by practical means, but I seriously live at the bottom of a middle-of-nowhere valley. I don't think that sending my money to someone who would purchase at a physical store is cheating in any way, no?

which is pretty much what we do now, the whole clix community in this area (save about 4 people) dont play at venues around here....we play house games, and all the guys are having a great time doing it.

My hero.
It's actually people like you that will cause programs like this to be cancelled. But hey, go ahead and take advantage of the system at your convienience. WK definately needs more people like you.
