Don't forget "Pie-Face" for native American themed team!
The end-dial Leadership is a great idea (if it isn't driving his cost way up) for X-Men, since their TA requires an action to activate, not to mention the extra action for movement.
Also, if Forge pushes to swap away a click and lands on Willpower, he won't take the push damage.
Actually, there’s this great new game mechanic that came out with Infinity Challenge. If you give a character two actions in a row, they take a click of “push” damage. While it’s usually used to make people think more about positioning, it can also be used to “push” a figure to their next click.
Sweet so you are going to push your 84 (oops ... sorry 104 points with BT) point 7 click character off his only click of Outwit and off of one of his Running Shot clicks, just to use a Feat. Wicked plan. And even better you haven't even pushed him into any way to defend himself, no barrier, no stealth, no damage reducers. Way to use those 15 points wisely. There's this thing thats been around since Xplosion it's called a con artist a better use of 15 points.
Well, of course. They finally show a character that will make this set worth even bothering with and he's a unique. So far this set has been a complete snore for me as none of the characters are ones that I would put on a team. I don't mean powers wise. I'm one of those players that never wins at tournamets because I prefer to make teams that I know. I am really hoping that something better comes out from this set or I will ahve to skip it for the ebay sales of singles. C'mon someone a bit more top teir than Electro or Jack O'lantern. I know that there are increasingly fewer MAJOR characters left to make but I thought the idea of the sneak peeks were to make us go "OOOooooh" and "Aaaaaahhh" not to scramble for the Whoclix page or one fo the old Marvel Universe books.
I definitely give Forge two thumbs up though. While not a power character (and he absolutely should NOT be one), he is one that fills out a nice hole that has been neglected so far. Now, I will do the Oliver thing. "Please sir, may I have some more?"
Still wishing for the return of the Wildstorm Universe
I have no problem with Forge. He's not a character I care about, but it's a good sculpt and that means something.
More X-men? I think him and Wolverine are the only ones I've seen for this set so far.
Multiple man. Forgot him. in all honesty with X-men, Uncanny X-men, New X-men, Astonishing X-men, Ultimate X-men, Excalibur, Gen X, X-Factor, X-Force, the mutants make up a LARGE portion of the Marvel Heroes. and there are still a LOT left to go. This set seems light on remakes so what's the problem.
(I'm not counting Danger room because A) it's a seperate set, B) Buying it is completly optional, C) those remakes won't take up slots in boosters)
So far the only Complaint I have is WHY does the first Forge character get leadership, when 8 versions of Cyclops do NOT! Why can't we get a Cyclops who is the leader he should be? I'm not a big Forge reader and when I do see him, he's NEVER a leader
Ahhh but thats a different argument! People are certainly able to complain about wanting BETTER dials. Or less Sucky X-men. What shouldn't be an issue is Too Many Mutants.
As it stands I have no real interest in ANY of the danger room dials, outside the sculpts.
The first thing I noticed was the nice sculpt. The second thing I noticed was the leadership at the end of the dial. At that point, isn't your team mostly whittle away? It seems like it would be rarely used.
Can anyone please tell me at really plausible game condition where the leadership at the end of the dial would actually come into play?
Also, I agree with Phantom1592 - Cyclops who oozes leadership has never had it on his dial, pretty lame.
Well that sometimes comes down to opinion and what you are personally looking for in a fig. The reviews so far for Forge seem to be pretty mixed, so he doesn't seem to be too bad.
I'm an X-Men fanboy, I don't deny that, so it might seem a little biased, but I agree that mutants make up a large portion of the Marvel Universe, so at least a few should be expected in every set.

Except Forge can trade clicks to move around his dial to the parts you need. does Con-Artist have outwit? No. Does Con-artist have Support? No. Can Con-artist do anything outside of Perplexing? No.
Forge is fairly comic accurate. Support characters don't need to be limited to one role, that's characters like Forge offer different capabilities to a changing game environment. With the X-men team ability, you're basically given a team ability to allow you to strategically move around on your clicks for whatever purpose it may be.

If you are playing X-Men, Forge's extra Leadership action can give you a little extra oomph for click swapping. Of course, if it is adding 10-20 points to the cost of the figure...I'd question the inclusion.
Leadership is also not a bad call (strategy/design-wise) to have on a the end dial along with Willpower...you may need that extra action to run Forge to safety.
Notice also that a click swap up from the Leadership click and you get the Support power. If you are a strict TA-team player, you may already be familiar with the synergy between the Xmen TA and the top-dial Support clicks on the vet/LE Jean Grey....Forge has a similar, complimentary combination.
If he were a 65-point figure, I think everyone would be swooning. Even with his relatively high price, he has the advantage that he contributes on each of his clicks. This figure is a real treat for theme players, less of a treat for min-maxers.
