Ugh...and to think, when deciding between Civil War and Anniilation, I chose Civil War...why?
This is carp. Complete and utter carp. This all led to practically nothing. Everyone knows Peter Parker is Spider-Man. Good for them, could;ve been done in ASM without any crossover. Hulk's in space. Guess what? Could've been done without a crossover. The FF lineup is changing. Say it with me now...could've been done without a crossover. New Thunderbolts team, two Avengers teams, return of Alpha/Omega Flight..all could've been done without a crossover.
Thor was supposed to come back in all this originally. Where is he? Tearing apart the legacy of Captain Marvel could've been done without the horrible CW tie-in. This all led to several status quo changes that didn't NEED such a colossal waste of time, money, ink, and trees.
Where's Stan Lee? I'm handing in my Marvel Zombie card now...where's a No-Prize I can set fire to in protest?

You know. If after beating down Tony Captain America looked around and went. "Hey i've won this war... now what. I can't repeal the law by force or it wouldn't be America, and fighting it like this is just causing trouble..." then turned himself in hoping the country comes to his senses... sure.
If it's a "Oh man, we're ruining everything" thing... you'd think that'd of happened when Bill Foster died. Also wasn't someone supposed beloved supposed to have died in 7? Any clue on that? Maybe it just is Cap, or atleast that's how they'll spin it cept he'd really alive? What's Cap's Fallen Son stage of grief again? Denial? Maybe in Denial about the country going all crazy facist? Barganing?

Since you-know-who got banned and isn't here to say it, I'll say it for him:
I blame Joey Q.

Well, even if he wins he loses. If he wins the war and Tony and Co don't agree to go anti-reg. What happens? Him and the Anti-regers stay on the lamb?
Winning won't change anything and he's not like Tony where he's willing to lock up the heroes who don't agree with him... so he free's everbody and then what?
It's gonna (or atleast should) take something like Redskull brainwashing a bunch of heroes in their training to make the registration act be repealed. That or heroes familys taking a big hit or like some large invasion where it's repealed as part of the condition for anti-reggers help. (World War Hulk I'm looking at you.)
Redskull could totally do it too... he's planning something ominous and he's gotten in similar positions before. (See when he controlled the council for superhuman affairs.)

Yeah, I could see Marvel taking the stuff Brubaker set up in the last couple issues of Captain America as an out for getting back to normal. Anything that involves Dr. Faustus, Red Skull, and Arnim Zola at the same time could and should be quite far-reaching.

The whole thing is a FUBAR. This is the kind of stuff that made me quit comics a decade ago. Thankfully there's a lot more alternative comics out there to buy now, and they're typically better than the norm anyways. Pretty soon I don't even think I'll be buying double digits in my Marvel pulls (then again, that Brubaker chap writes a LOT of books)
