I don't know if I would say Storm was more than capable of whooping Clor. She managed to hold him off, but he sustained no damage from her attacks. He took everything she had, and just shook it off. He never got a hit on her, true, but she couldn't do anything to him. But I do admit, her being able to control electrical systems is pretty random and rediculous.
Oh, I agree - I was just taking my usual "potshot" at Hudlin's writing (the bit with Monica calling Bishop a sellout just really bugged me, truth be told)

Why did that bug you?
*Seriously, not sarcasticly*
I'm actually not sure if it was for the black part or for not siding with Anti-Reg.
I guess because - and this may be because of what I've come to expect from Hudlin - but both black characters in BP who were on the pro-reg side (Rhodey and Bishop) were talked about as if they were traitors and sellouts (not supporting T'Challa, being party to the death of one of their "own" (Bill Foster - whom as we all know was part of the "in group" as seen in many previous issues *sarcasm meant*), etc. Considering it was a Hudlin issue and you had the one black pro-reg member being called "sellout" by an African-American female...well, it's hard not to take it that way.

when a person is against a law, there are many ways to deal with it.
declaring war is not one that can be used by anyone that claims to support democracy.
once you use violance to try and change laws you are taking the route of tyranny."
Well, that's not entirely true. One of our fore fathers stated we should have a revolutions (as in, the one we went through with England) periodically to keep tyranny from taking root.
Not saying we should all be up in arms all the times, just that saying violence leads to tyranny, or that anyone who promotes it is anti democracy is false.
Heck, George Washington himself said something to the effect that citizens had to be armed so they could oppose a government by force if need be.
Again, not advocating violence (a peaceful route is best where possible, I greatly admire Martain Luther King Jr. because of this). However, it is ever the duty of the strong to fight for the weak, and those who desire peace most are those most prepared to go to war. I genuinely fear the day our right to bear arms is taken away from us (and no, I don't own a gun atm).

I agree there are times when violance is the needed action but cap chose it as his 1st choice

I used to love that show. It was always a treat to get to stay up and watch it.
Trust me, I know what I'm doing.
For awhile there, they were selling the videos of that show. I think I have all of season one. All on VHS tape tho.
First season was best, second season got to be silly. But, Marvel did produce a few issues of Sledge in comicbook form.
Also from the show, I aquired a great line for myself. When, in the pilot epsiode, Sledge is being fired upon, and he's cornered, he finds a grenade in his pocket. He turns and says to his Gun, "Wow, it's a lucky thing I didn't send this jacket to the cleaners"... Then he lobs the grenade. Confronts the girl with the gun on his partner and she says to him he wouldn't dare shoot her, cause she's a girl, and he shoots the gun out of her hands and says "Just call me a feminist". I love that.

I just read Black Panther 25 and when Monica called Bishop a "Sell Out" I didn't see it as a "Race Thang" but as a "Pro Reg/Anti Reg Thang"
I am Black and Bishop is my favorite X-Man I am Anti Reg but knowing Bishop and the work he did in the Future I can see him being Pro Reg. And I ain't Hating on him.
Herc is one of my favorite Heroes and They do need to do a New Clix of him cause I am Tired of putting hid figure on a She Hulk Dial.
Clor is not alive, he was a Robot BUilt by Reed, Herc didn't Kill him...he DISMANTLED HIM!
And Black Panther {MArvel's Batman} is the Shiznit. It's Funny, In comic books {just like in Star Trek} you can travel light years away from Earth and run into Beings with blond hair, blue eyes and pale skin and it's no big deal. Kryptonians, looking just like my Caucasin brothers and sisters here on earth...is {to me} a hundred times more far fetched than Balck Panther Defeating Doom and Karnak??? Just a thought...

Except the only times someone got called "Sellouts" in the Black Panther CW issues it was always one black person saying it to another...you didn't see Storm going, "Hey, Reed. You are such a sellout!"; comments like that were directed towards James Rhodes and Bishop.
As for Black Panther defeating Doom and Karnak it has squat to do with the colour of his skin - but, hey, feel free to focus only on that - but, rather, the fact that he had never demonstrated being of that level of ability in the past nor would we accept it if, say, Scott Lang was suddenly beating the tar out of people that had been out of his "weight class" with no effort. It's bad writing and it could be by a black guy, a white guy or a freakin' Durlan and I'd still say the same thing.
Remember Hudlin's from LaLa-Land - the only city in the U.S. where people list CAT-scans as film credits. The reality gem couldn't help him at this point and it's showing in his writing.

1] Sell Out Is something that a Black person would say to another BLack person be he a super hero, a Rapper or what have you
2] And back before Hudlin took over Balck Panther the way Priest { I believe it was him} was writing him Black Panther became the strategist that would be able to do the things that Hudlin has him doing. To a certain exten, Black Panther is doing everything that Batman can do with a bit more strentgh wise because after all Black Panther is stronger than Batman.
But we all can agreeto disagree..... after all, How else can Tony and Reed be on one side of the Registration, and Cap and Sue be on the other?
I agree there are times when violance is the needed action but cap chose it as his 1st choice
Well when your choice is violence or "being illegally locked up and/or shot by a bunch of shield agents points guns at you."
I can't blame him for going violence. I mean. Cap didn't even say he was going to break laws in that excahnge. All he said was that he refused to help hunt down Anti-Reg people. He's already registered with Shield and trained so there is no way he could actually break the law to be arrested.
They pointed those guns on him because they didn't want Captain America out there talking bad about the law.
