Thanos had overloaded, and was a powderkeg of cosmic energy. The Panther cautioned the Avengers to stay back, but the Hulk sensed weakness and brought his fists down on the prone Titan, only to release an explosion potent enough to damage them both. Mad Thanos may be, but he is never weak.

Seeing that Thanos' energies were continuing to build, the Panther leapt forward and attached a vibranium energy sap to the Titan's chest. In skilled hands the process was harmless, but the Panther made sure that it hurt.

Looks like the dice server has turned against both of us.

Also, if Hulk pushed to flurry and then got a crit miss in Turn 13, he should be at 5/10. (He was at 7/10 before the attack, and then would have taken 1 damage from pushing and another from the crit miss.) It won't really matter at this point in the game, but the recap below reflects this.

Blasted and burned by powers only his creator was ever meant to wield, the cloned Thanos stood defiant in the heart of the energy maelstorm. His creator had sent him to this insignificant planet to deal with his enemies, and deal with them he would.

Pain wracked his body again, this time from the Black Panther's vibranium energy sap. The cloned Thanos crushed the nuisance and turned to face the Wakandan king.

"So, the brains of the team reveals himself at last," mused the cloned Thanos. "Yes, I will take great pleasure in crushing you."

The Panther was seriously wounded by the dying Titan, but before he could finished the Hulk did what the Hulk does. 2 ground shaking blows later and Thanos was out of the fight, leaving 3 seriously wounded Avengers out of 7 still standing.

Karma ran up to congratulate the Hulk, flush with excitement from her first victory with the Avengers! The Hulk, also flush with excitement, was pleased to see an Asian teen girl running up to him, and reflected that perhaps there really is something to being on a team. As the goliath lumbered toward Karma with romance on the mind she raised and her hand and mentally stopped him dead in his tracks, and the Hulk spent the rest of the evac instead performing several number from Caberet.

Good game Doombot, Thanos' low damage values really didn't give him much of a chance in the Hulk fight. Although had the Hulk missed either of his last hits, you would've KOed Panther and taken the game. I'm looking forward to seeing your team now that Thanos is all statted up.

Great use of Shi and Sable, they really just spoiled my rush plans early on.

For my end, I got another 2 Panther SAs, putting me at 10+ ASTs, 8 DFDs, and 9 SAs, so I should be able to get Panther upgraded to his new version by round 4.

Definitely a great game.

As for IC Thanos' damage values, yeah, they're not what they should be. I'm actually surprised he lasted as long as he did in close combat with Hulk (and Hulk 2099 is much closer to what Hulk should be than any of his other clix versions). In any event, Thanos got enough stats to upgrade twice, and Shi is pretty close to that point as well, so I'm happy.

I'm looking forward to seeing V Avengers Black Panther in action; he looks like he'd be fun to play once the games move up to 400 points.
