I loved it! Best event in a while!

It was liked it, but it wasn't as good as Crisis on Infinite Earths.

It was so-so. I liked parts but felt it could have ben better in others.
I don't think its G.M.'s fault. He more than likely scripted Superman Beyond #1 as Final Crisis # 4 & S.B.#2 as F.C. #8 (8 because the other issues would get pushed back) only DC wanted to market a gimmick (3-D) so they can charge you even more for that certain issue!
I think was a case of too many chefs and Morrison telling us he likes certain characters and not others (heck in an interview he admits he thinks WW is a joke and he had no use for her) and he also admitted that this was not what he really intended with his orginal series(Basically it would have been about the New Gods and maybe a few others who would have been close like Superman) and this is what Didio wanted so he really didnt care as much about this series which as far as I am concerned if you dont want a project JUST SAY NO
NO SANTA LEFT BEHIND
Not Just Another Empty Political Slogan
I think you're placing too much importance on the word essential. He says that they're just strands.
A better analogy, maybe. Superman and Batman are essential to Final Crisis like Robinson's Shade Mini is essential to his Starman run.
Although this was addressed heres the actual quote from Grant himself:
"I only had seven issues for Final Crisis and the Monitor story strands that grew into Superman Beyond needed much more room to breathe than was available in the main book. Same goes for the Batman 2-parter from Batman #682 – #683, which is an essential part of Final Crisis also."

He uses the word "essential" dude.
Suck it up.
Morrison also use this words in FC #7 in Superman's mouth:
"I recognize your DNA (Darkseid, you have the body of).. Dan Turpin!"
WHY Superman don't recognize that "Batman' body" as NOT Batman???
I really hope Morrison fall in one of his huge plot holes.
...With this Final "Crisis" in one of his plot holes.

Look Morrison is a really nice dude, and your anger is misplaced.
Especially since you seem to have missed the extremely obvious in that Darkseid was making clones of Batman and using his life experiences to train these Batmen clones.
One of the lines in Batman "final rites" was:
"what kind of man can turn even his life memories into a weapon"
And one of the most important lines In final Crisis was in issue #6 from Sonny Sumo in response to Shilo-Mr Miracle's saying "you're from a Lateral Universe?"
his response:
"Sonny Sumo went back and died in Time and died a happy man in Feudal Japan. I stumbled through a hole in my life, into his life."
So there's 2 indications of what happened.
I fine with there still being a slight bit of a mystery regarding the actual details, hell its the perfect set up for yet another great Batman story IMO.
If you didn't like it fair enough, but accusing Grant Morrison of not making sense is missing the ball dude.
Maybe the story was a tad too heady but for those of us who got it, it was f-in brilliant.
Should Grant have been allowed to write Final Crisis in its entirety in the actual Final Crisis book?
Of course he should have.
But if you honestly think that's his fault and not the fault of the moron who brought you the Death of the New gods and Countdown effectively ruining the 1st issue of Final Crisis, you're just missing the obvious IMO.
And I liked death of the New Gods quite a bit, but its shouldn't have been made to exploit Grants beginning to Final Crisis the way it was.

Uh huh?
You know you didn't really add anything to the conversation, right?
Granted, you're also saying that those who don't think the story is brilliant just didn't get it, so I think I understand the kind of comic fan you are.
Infinite Crisis and Sinestro Corps war, along with (sadly) the final crisis tie in mini series (legion of 3 worlds, revelations, etc) were all much better than FC. I have the same complaint about this that I had about some of morrison's all star superman work, it feels disjointed, nothing is explained to the reader, and its not edited well enough to be understood. The man has some good ideas as seen in his work on 52, but without others to reign him in and craft the story it all falls apart.
Snarfery!
Experienced OMAC single handed Kills:
U Starman
U Sandman
Liberty Bell
E Dr Midnight
I love morrison fans cause they always come off as pompous jerks who "got it," well good for you, you spent time rereading each issue and making notes and checking wikipedia so you could get every reference. I personally would rather just READ THE COMIC AND NOT NEED TO RESEARCH IT! His work reminds me of those novels you read in college that come off as flat but then you spend the whole semester trying to find deeper meaning.

I can't say that I appreciate people who enjoy parading around their own ignorance.
I read each issue of Final Crisis once and I understood it just fine.
You can dislike the work for many reasons, I could point out a few myself, but try to stay away from the "I didn't get it," reason. It doesn't show proper respect for yourself.
I'll agree that Sinestro Corps War was much better. Though, that's from a "Pax enjoyed it more" factor than anything else. Now if you could just say that you thought Infinite Crisis was awful and Revelations boring as all get out, I'd feel better about agreeing with you
