At last, I was trying to make a template and then had a hard drive crash.
Put of downloading the pdf's from crisis, and then the website closes!
Thanks for putting the fonts up, been trying to find those for ages.
If anyone with the Illustrator template could forward it to me I'd be very greatful. [email protected]
Thanks to the people that sent me stuff, it's all terrific, a custom clixers dream come true really! Gotta keep getting this thread bumped and noticed so people see the awesomeness that it is.
Forum Team Building Contest #2 and #3 Winner, & runner up for #1 and #4.
I actually have vector versions of almost all the TAs, including some Indy TAs, though I had to trace Galactus myself. I got a couple files some time ago from a certain someone containing the actual Illustrator files WK worked from. As a result, I have (most of) the TAs in vector format as actually used in production along with the standard boot, standard wing, standard dolphin, single fist, regular shield, and lightning bolt.
What I need is the other dial symbols as good-quality vectors. I could make available what I've got if anyone wants. I could maybe host the whole shebang— the TA vectors and the files for making the cards— via BitTorrent if that would be doable on here. My IM names are in my profile, so hit me up on AIM, Yahoo, or MSN.
Is there a way of doing front and back at same time so it can be printed on card stock so when printed you can fold over and use
Here's what I do. Once the cards are laid out, I butt the top of the card back and card front together and print. This should yield a printed piece that is 2.5 inches wide and 7 inches tall. I carefully fold it over onto itself so the front backs up the back. I then unfold it, carefully spray it with spray adhesive and then refold it onto itself, yielding a finished size of 2.5" x 3.5". I find the best paper to use is a very thin, lightweight glossy paper, so that when the paper is doubled over onto itself it yields something close to the thickness of an actual Wizkids card.

Most of the symbols used in my templates are vector versions taken directly from Wizkid's .pdf files. I would say about 80% of them are Wizkids authentic. The rest were painstakingly recreated by me to match as closely as I could manage to the real thing.
If you would like a copy of either of my template files, PM me your email address.
That is the best looking template I have ever seen! I sent you a PM with my email address. I'm looking forward to using this for customs and older clix. Thanks!

Additionally, I use card sleeves (heavier ply) to keep the cards dry and to prevent any smears.
Just for those that don't know. If there was vector based work done and saved as a PDF, such as WizKid's Team Ability Cards, you can usually open the PDF in Illustrator and take out the vector based objects you want.
It can sometimes be a little troublesome, because items get grouped together, so it is just a matter of getting rid of the portions you don't need to get to what you do.
