Originally I was not going to put any of them on my site... just have the card previews here and a few fun bonus things... but I decided to put Iron Patriot (this week's preview) on the site for a lack of a more 'fun' way to show it off. I'll go back and update Iron Fist and Ms. Marvel on a rainy day, but keeping the flow of mods and cards keeps me insanely busy.

As a new avenger player the IF and MMb are perticularly awesome.

I would love to be able to shave 63 pts(or 55 pts if I tossed on Camofloge) using your Ms Marvel. It would help me get more of the lineup on the table.

On the flip side Danny, is a cool upgrade/combo of the two Vet versions we have of him. I'd be happy to field him given the points available.

Some Q's for you/'them';

1) Will there be any LE dials? (ie: If Steel Serpent is in the set, could Steel Phoenix be possible as well? I'd think he could be differnt enough)

2) You/'them' have already hinted at the presence on feats(ATA in perticular).....any chance of seeing some dark feat with Canada Day and the Indipendence Day coming up in a week-ish?

Design question: did you decide that the method of "shove every possible keyword that's applicable onto a fig" was too overpowered? Because shouldn't Moonstone Ms. Marvel have the Thunderbolts keyword? And, for that matter, shouldn't Iron Patriot?

How did you create the character cards? I'd love to get some of those for the Independent's Day set that Crow et al are putting out.

To answer your questions;

1) The plan is for 60 figures, a BIBTB figure, ad potentially 2 chase figures. I have floated around the idea of once it is done filling in a few more LE dials, but I'm more focused on actually getting the 60 mods out there (phew!). I do like the Steel Serpent / Steel Phoenix suggestion... I would not be surprised to see that actually happen.

2) I have some ideas, but I was sort of holding back while waiting for something... but I may have to stop waiting in order to pull something out in time - we'll see. But if you'd like to discuss your guess a little more, feel free to PM me!

so is this going to be a personal set or is there some plans for other realmers to get their hands on these awsome mods??. I know its a long shot but maybee someone can make these sets to order.

From a design perspective, keywords are really dependent on the sculpt of the character. When making someone who has a generic or long-running look, it's an ideal time to make the "penultimate" version of them and have it represent them in their long career. But when you have a sculpt representing a specific point in time, I prefer that the keywords sync up with that.

For example, whether Norman is running the show or not, he's always a scientist - it's core to who and what he is. However, while in the Iron Patriot armor, he is specifically not a member of the Sinister Six (or Twelve). While the Iron Patriot Armor came shortly after his Thunderbolts run, neither him or Moonstone were running around as Thunderbolts with those personas (Iron Patriot and Ms. Marvel respectively). And I think that's really the deal - it's less a costume change and more of a persona change in their specific cases.

I have nothing against fitting in as many keywords as possible to represent a long and adventurous career. I think certain pieces should be able to reflect multiple time periods. However, when a sculpt is trying to capture something specific, it's just my design style to have everything reflect what it's trying to capture.

I think Crow has someone working on that (need to go back and check the thread) - but to answer your question, there is a thread in the Artisan's Guild by theavengerthor where he has an Illustrator File that makes a great template. It is fantastic and has helped me tremendously. If you PM him, he should send it to you.

And yeah - I'm loving Crow's HC Community Indy set, BTW!

What I hope for this to be (other than a new way to showcase my mods and a way to motivate me to make them) is a fun set that will do the same for all of you out there.

I guess what all that cryptic mess REALLY means is that yes, this is a personal set. Doing 60+ mods for MYSELF is probably gonna kill me. But what I hope it does is now that you all have nice character cards to use that some of you may go out there and re-paint some figures... make your own mods... or something like that. Heck, I'd even be glad if people just used the dials for their online games.

At the end of the day it's just motivation and fun... it's as simple as that.
