Pretty interesting to read about people's thoughts on day 1 voting. These debates seem to be occurring more frequently as of late.
yeah, the metagame is constantly evolving.
It may be a moot point as long as people never go through with day 1 lynches though... it's an empty threat it seems.
I used to think Day 1's were a waste of time. While I still think Day 1 lynches are completely hit-or-miss, I now think the phase is useful because people have grown tells, and every now and again somebody makes a mistake that comes back to haunt them later...

Yup.
Trickier one though: What was the Bond girl's name in the novel?
Alotta. Alotta Fagina. Who changes her name afterwards to Sandy Fagina.

I'm really into the Daniel Craig Bond - he's more a menacing character, which I kind of like. I'm disappointed that I have to wait until next year to see him again, so I've been revisiting some of the older films recently to see how they hold up.
Dr. No - has some cheesy moments that are more attributed to the cinema production of the day, but stands the test of time. I like that it's light on gadgets, and focuses more on Bond's skill. The sterotyping of minorities made me cringe at times, but I realize the film was a product of the age in which it was made. Ursula Andress may be my new favorite Bond girl.
The Living Daylights was just awful. People complain about how bad a Bond Tim Dalton was, but honestly - the script stunk to high heaven. From the opening to the finish, the film was all over the place, and IMO hard to follow. I especially don't like that Joe Don Baker shows up in two more Bond films after this. Lost fans: Christian Sheppard is Felix Leiter. (sp?)
The World is Not Enough, felt solid enough, though Denise Richards appearance was a huge low. Can we reshoot a few scenes with a new girl? Sophie Marceau was delightful, and it was nice to see Hagrid return. Not the strongest film of Pierce's franchise, but also not the worst.
I honestly couldn't finish The Spy Who Loved me. When I was a kid, I loved Roger Moore as Bond, but now that I'm older, he seems a little too old for the part, and some of his films are just too campy - reminiscent of a certain Adam West tv show. I had to fast forward through the middle of this movie to keep my sanity.
I'm torn as to what to watch next. Do I give Dalton a second chance, revisit more of Connery's work, or try something more contemporary. Seeing as how we have some fans here, is there any that could be recommended as "best of?' Has anyone ever rated all the bond films against each other?
