put Tombstone object to help Superman's defense up to 20 and put him in Hindering, making it 21. Thor will have to roll for 9 to attack him successfully.
Special objects help Thor even more than supes. Grab a desk mid-runshot and use the desk when Superman attacks with an object.
Superman hates armor piercing. 1 damage and he's a sitting duck. If Thor's damage is perplexed by just 1, supes is doomed. No man is an island, and Thor beats this supes with good support virually every time.
Edit: Thor has 2 targets. Winning strategy: dual target supes and ANYONE. Do 4 damage to supes, and 1 to whomever. When supes has taken a net of 2, he's nerfed. Since you were smart and attacked from 10 away, no counterattack is possible.
It's not a game? Di rolls are luck. Stategy is a part of it, yes.
Dice rolls introduce an element of chance, but any sound strategy takes chance into account, attempts to minimise it, and allows for any probable failures.

Don't know if its been pointed out yet (didn't feel like reading 5 pgs worth) but this Superman is a rookie which would help to explain the values
No offense, but that has nothing to do with anything. A character should be worth the points they cost. If they're not worth the points they cost, something needs to be changed. It doesn't matter if the character's a rookie, a veteran or if they're the worst, clumsiest, dumbest sack of rocks you ever did see. Whoever the character is, that character should be worth the points they cost to field.

wow, so since supes has a lower attack, he's not worth his points?? do you think he sucks compared to thor! supes trashed this guy 11 out of 10 times! supes doesn't need to attack every turn. once he hits thor(which isn't impossible), thor becomes way to easy to put down. supermans dial is way better then thors IMO. HSS wins over running shot EVERY time.
the alter ego thing just adds another way to play this icon. i'm sure thor will get the same treatment soon enough! it just makes me laugh because when they try to do a less lethal/ no automatic win superman, ppl hate him! if he had the 12/11 atack, he'd be too sick for his points. balance and comic accuracy do come into play from time to time. HOT spoiled ppl with all those high attack and defense values. in the day of uber perplex, why is a low value such a big deal?? just perplex down !
@antonio.clark.art is my instagram.take a look and tell me what you think....be blessed!!!
Give me superman against anyone playing that Thor, and I'll smoke them every time on a map that isn't completely wide open.
Mobility on the superman keeps him not only safe, but dealing out good damage. Thor has running shot, sure, but he's a very top heavy piece. If superman strikes first, he wins.
9 attack on a 200+ point piece prevents him from being amazing, or tournament material, period.
Does that mean he's garbage? Hecks no.
While he lacks in attack, EVERY single one of his other stats is extremely high and consistant, and it isn't like his attack is bad, just average, and it is average for his whole dial.
If you took this new Superman and compared it to the Icon's experienced and averaged their attack values, they would be very similar.
with 12 Speed HSS I dont see how Thor would ever even get line of site. doesnt mean thor is not a better piece, he just would not get first hit.
or any hit really.
It's called Indomitable. And one of the first things Thor should start doing is blowing the heck out of terrain to ensure he can get a shot on Superman when he wants to take it. It's pretty much guaranteed that Superman is never going to push on his first click, because that second click isn't so hot. So Thor just needs to take advantage of that fact.

He gets whatever you want to put on a team with him. You'll NEED a Prob Controller.
And the debate is whether or not Superman is worth his points, and with those attack values, he's NOT! Thor is an attempt to compare them.
Did no one pay attention to Jake's post about the future sets and how they are being made to play with *all* clix?
I read that as an acknowledgment that the superiority of HoT pieces over all other sets, because of comparisons like this, that they will be dialing back the power creep.
I don't think you'll be seeing Thor level pieces for a while now.

I believe he also said that the same was true of Hammer of Thor...
I have very much noticed the powering down of the figures in Brave and the Bold...real shame considering that the characters being portrayed are far more powerful than the characters in Hammer of Thor (comicbook-wise).
How much can you take, and keep moving forward?

(Special) Special: Thor can use Super Strength
A mere 10 more points and Thor will smoke Superman 9 out of 10 times.
Superman isn't deserving of at least 11 attack? Indomitable?
Total miss with Superman here...big time.
Now, the 48 point one? I'm SO going to play Clark/Superman!
I totally disagree that Thor will smoke this version of Supes. Hypersonic Speed is a much more effective move and attack ability than Running Shot.
Not to mention that Supes is doing 6 CLICKS OF DAMAGE with RCE for almost his whole dial.
And compare defenses... 4 straight clicks of 18, with the first 3 with Impervious. And his defense doesn't drop to a 16 until his last click. Thor's drops a hell of a lot faster than that.
What do you want it to be? 100 points? It's this type of complaining such as this that creates power creep.
I think the Supes is cheap for his points. He should be 230 points.
This Supes has the upper hand against the HoT Thor... hands down.
Even though Thor is god and should be able to crush that pansy in red and blue tights.
