Has anyone thought a lot about Black Flash? I've been looking at him some, but I have my reservations.
I imagine we'll still see enough Kid Zooms to make Black Flash have nightmares. And all it takes would be one "lucky" hit render Black Flash useless, or more than likely KOd. And I wouldn't want 50% of my team taken out by one attack.

Yeah, looking at him, he's got eh Attack values and a short amount of clicks on his dial. If he can ride that 19 Def out and not get hit, he might be ok, but that requires him hitting with that low attack value. Like I said, my gut feeling was a big no on him, but I figured I'd ask to make sure I wasn't overlooking anything.

I've been considering him. If he has some other way to deal 3 damage besides perplex (secondary attacker?), then he could do well with the secondary attacker harassing anyone with damage reducers. I've found that Wizard Shazam would be my most difficult matchup in terms of dealing with damage reducers because I can get him to his 2nd to last click, but if my perplex gets taken out, then I'm screwed.

Sadly there just isn't a whole lot to make him work in 300. If there was cheap enough Perplex out there then maybe I'd use him, but off of the top of my head the cheapest plexer I can think of is Howard the Duck for 35 points, and I'd wanna use at least 2 with Black Flash to make his attack or damage count.
plus 7 map roll, Talia gets a decent taxi, Roy harper is great on his first few clicks and bumps AVs. LOTs of outwit.
It's a bit plodding, but I think it can pump out decent damage from range, and nightshade's SP might be a decent combo with Pawn's plasticity on a Cap with a token, for example. If you can get lucky and KO someone with Pawn, good for you.
This team would get killed by Black Flash. But against a different team maybe itd work. Match ups are everything.

I'd imagine this team would win map roll against BF, and then go with the Skrull crashed ship map and pop Black Flashes tires. It would be tough hitting that defense, but with enough attacks I'm sure it would happen.

Or you could pick the prison and put a dynamostat in the room on flash's side and an opened hydrant in the middle corridor to force him to come at you on the side. He can't run through people, so I don't really think it would be that hard to box him in. If he ever pushes when he's cornered you could hit him with nightshade's smoke cloud.

I know he can't use it with HSS, but Black Flash does have Phasing/Teleport with his special power.

Yes he does and poison. Which negates the bonus of having these guys cus they have to be in a group. Other then:
1)Player Fs up and gets shot by Talia and the gang
2)One or two people beat a 19 up close
3)Critical Miss
I cant see it happening.
On an unrelated note what are the current marvel team abilites?

I'd gladly eat the few clicks of poison it would take to hit that 19 defense standing right next to me, NOT hypersonic speeding away.

Marvel TAs are in the players guide
Who on that team can take a click and hit a 19. Im assuming itll take 2 turns to reach you cus why would you move. Im not pushing cus of nightshade i can phase in after you get in range and base you. Then push to punch and run 9 squares away. repeat. repeat. repeat.

You can hit a 20 with an 8 attack. The odds may not be in your favor to hit it, but it can be done. Using Poison with Black Flash is not the best way to go. I wouldn't stand next to 3 or 4 enemies to Poison them because next turn they get to roll 3 attacks against me, maybe even 4 if they have Leadership. Odds are that they won't roll high enough to hit, but say they need a 9 or higher to do it. If you keep standing next to them, eventually they will roll that. And Black Flash doesn't have a deep enough dial to take that risk.

The problem is Outwit though. Thorbuster can running shot 5 squares and use Pulse Wave for another 4. That's only 9 squares, leaving him a few squares short of being outside of Outwit territory. Granted, on the right map you can hide and get out of site of it, but I wouldn't say it's guaranteed that he'll get to use the RS or the PW against a multiple outwit team. And once you get rid of that PW, he has to deal with Stealth, which the Outwitter is likely to have as well. I see why someone would pick him, but I think there are much better choices to use in this format.
In BatB 300 Floor, I'll agree. 140 is a lot and eliminates a lot of the other sets.
Outwit isn't that much of a problem because of Thorbuster's mobility. There is 0 reason for him to ever be 10 spaces away and clear Line of Fire from an Outwitter.
Crash Site has oodles of Blocking Terrain as does the Prison. Rainbow Bridge moves your team to one side and attack the other. Graveyard has blocking AND a wall to park behind - just like the Avenger's Tank. The Science Cells map is practically impossible to drawn line of fire from 10 spaces away.
And there is always barrier as well as the rest of the team. Yes, its up to the player to make it work but my only gripe is the seemingly foregone conclusion that Stealthed Outwit is Thorbuster's bane.
A major key to winning in HeroClix is patience.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.

IIRC, Checkmate Knights have a 10 attack. And with multiples of them, it's only a matter of WHEN the attack will hit, not if. If you wanna stand in one spot and Poison my characters instead of using HSS and doing 2 then running out of LOS, then be my guest; I'd make you pay for not playing conservative with Black Flash.
And why wouldn't I push to attempt to hit you before you run away? You're gonna hit me anyways so I'd push as soon as you base me. Actually, I probably wouldn't have to push due to being taxi-ed up. And poison wouldn't take affect until the turn you try and run away. You'd have to make me come to you.

I think wed have to play it out. I still say black flash kills that team.
