Dynamic sculpts on generic commons? Really? You kids are now whining about the sculpts for generic figures not having "dynamic!" sculpts?
What the hell do you want them to be doing exactly? Running thru smoke with tiny guns that actually shoot? Light up exploding grenades and removable helmets? You have got to be kidding me.
And using the same sculpt with different paint for minions/generics has been going on for awhile now. Time to move on and accept it. Better then not having generics.
I like 'em. The grunts and the sarge seem pretty great, and together they're even better. I don't know that they'll be heavily played, though. Hammer generics with Norman are pretty comparable and I've never seen anyone use those. It's nice to see the Past keyword get some use on stuff other than time travelers, too.

As a big fan of the Sarge and Easy Co., I am quite happy they are getting represented again. And the fact that they are very playable is just the icing on the cake.

How about looking like soldiers fighting in WWII and not standing around waiting for a bus?

We should never ever just accept anything we don't like in a product offered to us for sale. Particularly when there is much better precedent in the product line for different sculpts, even during the old REV days.

If NECA is just going to pad sets with repaints of the same sculpt for generics, yes, I'd rather not have generics, unless they are going back to 96+ character sets again.

I believe you have two options then. Accept it and continue to buy the product, which you obviously continue to do or else you wouldn't even be posting these comments - or stop buying Heroclix. Maybe Neca has reduced the quality of sets by making repaints of sculpts, I mean I don't think it has, and the mass amounts of clix being bought tells me that it hasn't affected anything - but if you believe it to be an inferior product to the "good ol' days", then get out of the game.
Complaining about the Easy Company Soldier sculpt not being dynamic enough is an indescribably weak argument to try and back up your claims.

I, honestly, don't have a problem with the pose because it's a pretty common one for Rock and Easy Co. I can't keep track of the number of comics - which I'm sure you are also aware - where they come slogging in all tired with their guns at rest...but not entirely...they never totally sling up their rifles because they know the second you do, that's when the War claims you.
Walking onto the field as tired battle-worn angels of death - that's Easy Co. and I can almost see that in the sculpt.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

Me too. I think a 16D (17 when backed by Rock) would have sufficiently represented normal humans who have gone through basic infantry training.
CarlosMucha: that is like be running in a Olimpic race competition just one step to get the gold and then a Giant children place a mirror in your side and you discover what you are really a hamster over a whell and the gold is just a slice of chess. Avatar Summoning: Original GotG, Melter, Whiplash
Not sure if anyone's thought of this, but how about using Sgt. Rock and Easy Company to fill out some points on a Guardians of the Galaxy team using the soldier keyworded pieces? Bug would get Willpower from Rock, and Easy Company could be spread out a little farther and still get their Minion power boost from Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon.

When it comes to Superman and Batman, Grant Morrison is nothing but a 50's cover band in a 70's psychedelic funk style.
