Finally! I was beginning to wonder if we'd ever get to see some 'good' Lantern dials in this set. The 3 Hals we've seen in previews are all miserable. Both Kilawog and Salaak strike a good balance between attacker & supporter. If all the rest of the new GLs feature such enhancements at a reasonable cost then the GLC might be worth playing at last.
And on a side note I love these co-operative theme team figs. Warriors Three and Horsemen of Apocalypse have started a new trend which I hope continues with other teams.
Did they opt to not give ANY of these guys the GLC TA because they all fly, and thus the TA would really be not so useful, or did they just not want to have them cost another 10-20 points each?
"A" is "A". And no matter what universe he's from, Luthor... is Luthor.
I'm going to say it here quietly in the middle of this thread where nobody will notice, because I don't want to be *that* guy... but it's been bugging me all night, so I guess I am that guy. Everyone ignore me, but surely it's "without further ado". As in 'Much Ado about Nothing'.
Why does Kilowog look like Sloth from the Goonies?
Every relationship is fundamentally a power struggle, and the individual in power is whoever likes the other person less.

What a supreme way to start off the weekend!!! I only wish that I had logged on earlier... Yes, he's finally here:Salaak!!!!!! Thankyou, thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou!!!!!!!
Love that Special Power, Salaak is the Profesor X or Reed Richards of the Green Lantern corps!!! SWEET!!!! I'm so inspired that my favorite character finally has been made, right on... Coming in at 100 points is a nice touch to scare off those pesky Mind Controllers too.
Praise be to NECA/WizKids for fulfilling a life-long dream of mine, checks in the mail...
P.S. Contrary to the WizKids writeup, I will be playing Salaak with his pal Ch'p, just like in the good old days...
That sculpt for Salaak just needs to have his forearms/hands painted white and he'll be close enough to the comic version to make me happy.
And I just checked ebay - around $25-$30 for an old Kilowog figure. Yikes.
That's pretty pricey for just a sculpt (which is the only reason I'd want him). Does anyone know if DC ever released some kind of minis of the GLC and other characters? Kind of like the Marvel Handful of Heroes?

I feel the exact opposite. A good feat card clearly can take the place of any so called Special Power. Hell, how many SPs were originally optional Feats?
No way I would agree Salaak deserves Brilliant Tactician more than the majority of characters that can use the optional feat.
Figures seem fine. Not a huge Salaak fan but he is serviceable. I don't run Lantern teams due to cost and to a lesser degree lack of diversity of dial (understandably so). Kilowog seems decent enough to try him out with some DC soldiers (Superman, anyone?).
Looking forward to more.
I disagree with the thought that a feat can replace any special power. Mimic is a great example.
Salaak deserves his SP because thats what he does in the comics, its accurate. Lyssa Drak however, does not direct other Sinestro Corps members in battle, although she qulaifies for the feat. I dont think anyone said he deserves it more than the other figs who can use it, sometimes it is accurate. Just that he does deserve it.

I'll concede the power to copy another figure's powers would be very tricky as an optional feat. That kind of preassigned special power is exactly what it should be used for. Not Shape-Change on the defense slot.

What about Black Panther? What about Dr. Strange? What about Mr. Fantastic? Madrox? Doom? Tim Drake?
I know there is a lot of focus on what your opponent plays. To me, BT on Lyssa Drak is more accurate than Lyssa teaming up with Blanka, Frodo, Captain America and Mary Jane Watson.

The person I quoted said the reason Optional Feats aren't needed is because having Game Design assign them for you is much better because it makes the power "comic accurate". I was pointing out that is incorrect because every character that can pull off that same power stunt then NEEDS that WK Assigned Stunt on their dial and they do not get it.
Icicle's Copsicles is a power stunt that Iceman, Ice, Killer Frost, Captain Cold, etc can do but NONE have it because GD hasn't assigned it for you yet. As an Optional Feat I could give it to all of them right now making all of them comic accurate instead of 1 figure.
I did not suggest Salaak did not deserve Brilliant Tactician. I do believe he is not the ONLY character that deserves it.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
I dont recall....how many total pieces does the the gravity feed bring in to the mix outside of the 6 figure Fast Forces starter thingie?
It's 10 figures for the gravity feed, 4 of which aren't in the Fast Forces. But even those 6 repeats are (supposedly) new dials, which means for some, both are must haves. (myself included)
The ones not in the FF are Boodika, Hal Jordan (AE), Salaak, and R'Amey Holl.

Thank you good sir!
I was debating if I wanted a case of the GLGF but at 10 peices total I dont need to be looking at 14 dupes.
