I know we are getting the starters, but the single figures seemed in doubt. I will have to check again when I am at shop next.
Let me know if you hear otherwise. I can try some digging on this end as well.
That said, I think you should be all set. Again, I've been told that internationally both the gravity feed and fast forces pack are available to retailers.

Hmm... in looking over these dials, I think they made an unfortunate decision in giving the 150-point Mark V the same open as the 300-point version. I'm assuming this is a ploy to get people to buy two of them, because there's no way I'd run a 300-point version of the same top click instead of TWO of them for the same cost. 75% of a figure is what they can do at the top... it's the only click you're guaranteed to see!

When the biggest complaints add up to "too much product" and "not easily obtainable", I'll take those any day when compared to "no more Heroclix".
The general reaction in this thread has been a bit harsh. NECA/Wizkids is taking their already produced sculpts, slapping new gaming options on 'em, and releasing them to a larger market and more reputable seller to help get their product and name out there, and, of course, to attempt to make a bigger profit. The GSX colossals are great showpieces to reveal to toy collectors, kids and comic book fans haunting the aisles of ToysRus what cool stuff is available from our great game. GSX has been out for a while. The newness has worn off for the die-hard fans (probably the majority of current complainers), so this is a way to keep the product moving for the general public. The die-hards will always seek out the stuff they want because of the new dials. The general public will pick this stuff up for the lure of an awesome-looking, new-to-them superhero game, or toy-collectors and comic-book fans will pick them up simply for the great sculpts. Heroclix will benefit if only in name recognition only.
Yes, there will be hoarders/re-sellers. That happens with every popular collectible toy and game. It's the nature of an open market that includes instant access online auction shopping. That's not going away anytime soon. Demand drives it.
So, my advice is, try to check your demand. We, and I'm including myself, do not need every heroclix piece at the day or time of release. Except for the very limited chases, almost all heroclix comes down in price eventually and remains relatively easy to track down. You will be a much happier player and collector if you realize part of the thrill of the game and the hunt is finding that really great deal. You have to accept you can't have everything right when it becomes available, whether it's due to distance or dollars. When it comes to Heroclix, I have found that I have ALWAYS been rewarded if I am just patient, and that's from a collector/player who has been with the game since the beginning. Oftentimes, it only takes the length of time until the next release for prices and availability of the last release to become very obtainable.
Take this for what it's worth, but I like the idea of being able to walk into a well-known store and finding something new and desireable for this game of ours that was as good as dead not so long ago. Maybe I'll seek these ToysRus exclusives out; maybe I won't. If scalpers get them all first, and if I really, REALLY want them, I'll turn to the secondary market. There is always that option. If I never get them, there are alway the GSX versions.
What I believe should be expressed is excitement over the possibility to possess new heroclix product if it is something you're really interested in. If the ToysRus exclusives were never-before-released and never-to-be-released-again brand new exclusives such as the Beyonder, the Watcher, Infinity Gauntlet Thanos, etc., then, maybe, I could understand the uproar. Even then, there would still be ways to obtain the rare obtainable. But, I don't get the reaction for this announcement. Not for re-designed re-releases. But, different strokes for different folks, I guess. I suppose Neca is getting just what they and ToysRus want with this thread: hyped up interest, feedback, and, ultimately, demand for this product. I truly feel that even though it seems some could lose out with this type of release, we all still win. It's a great sign that the game is alive and well, and that there are plans for the future.
Truth. Justice. Honor.
If we want them in our world we need to cultivate them in ourselves.

I know this sounds really bad, but I hope these just sit on shelves so Wizkids goes back to selling at brick and mortar shops who support the game we buy
I can understand the desire to see Wizkids products sold only in brick and mortar stores, and I understand peoples frustration with these mass retailer releases being limited to specific stores. However I think one think most people forget is that not everyone has a brick and mortar store near where they live or one that is easily accessible. So by offering product at mass market retailers opens up a way for people who otherwise might not've been able to get any product. Also one should weigh the amount of product slated to be sold through mass market retail stores against the product that is sold exclusively through brick and mortar stores. The product offered through brick and mortar stores far outweighs that offered through mass market.
Hmm so the only store that may have these is 600 miles away or farther? Thanks.
Guess I'll have to keep an eye out for these in the much later future. Or just trade for one if anyone I know happens to get one. Not the end of the world, just kinda blah.

Looks like I am going to be going to Toys R Us early on Saturday. I want that Apocolypse. My local TRU isnt getting them in, but another one is that is not that far from my house. Im honestly surprised at the amount of places in Pennsylvania that are getting the figures. I live in Philadelphia and there is honestly not that many players in the city. Alot across the bridge in Jersey. Im just hoping they do not try to charge some ridiculous amount. Anything more than the price of the super booster is ridiculous since its not a new sculpt.
I'm pretty disappointed in this. Given that most people complained about the superboosters in that "they took up spots that could have been held by 2 more boosters all for a colossal that more than likely isn't even playable in 300 point tourneys." Turns out they were unfortunately pretty much right on. If we had've gotten these dials in place of the ones that came with the bricks I think a lot more folks would've been happy, and I for one would've been much more satisfied with the Sentinels. But the real question is why won't Wizkids just let GSX finally be a finished set? I'm tired of seeing new things pop up for it in upcoming conventions and the remaking of dials. Let's just get on with the Captain America and Superman sets already.
i think it is nice, it looks like they are testing the market for a possible venture to also selling wares in places like Toys R Us and what have you...with future products like the Smurfs, they are already going to have their stuff there...i remember a few christmas's ago i worked at a toy spot and they had some heroclix stuff there
In my opinion this is a very bad move on wizkids' part. By Making a mass market exclusive, and not offering them to the brick and mortar stores that have supported wizkids/heroclix for going on 9 years, seems to be a very large slap in the face. The comic book and game retail stores who supported it are the sole reason why Wizkids/Heroclix have the popularity and sell numbers that they have today. Now I have to drive 4 hours, purchase these figures at full retail, and either take a loss or charge more than I should just so my players have the opportunity to purchase the figures that they need to complete their collection.
This is the same thing that Wizards of the Coast did with Pokemon, that not only burned bridges but also led to the downfall of the game.
I have had very few complaints about NECA until now. In-fact I am very surprised that this is coming about.
I am not saying that Heroclix and related products should not be sold in the mass-market. I am simply stating that making a mass-market exclusive is a very bad and detrimental addition to the game.

Running Heroclix Tournaments Since 2002 with no end in sight.
And now I'm thinking of getting a passport- Just so I can find these, buy them all and squeal in delight as I whip out a sentinel army for when I actually manage to get to the local venue.
Beyond that, I'm pretty miffed that it's Toys 'R' Us, USA exclusive. I live in Windsor, we have an actual heroclix community (Or a venue that runs out of boosters before I can get them for no reason... XD) who would be able to help lead in the potential new buyers... And I really wanted these Sentinels! Guess it's off to get ripped off at the secondary market...

I have to agree with this. I do want the figures but I don't understand why they keep doing this. How many times does Heroclix have to fail at the mass-market level before they stop trying? Heroclix was initially available at various mass-market stores like Wal-Mart, Toys R'Us, EB Games, etc. I got a few at electronic stores and a bunch at Toys R'Us initially. Toys R'Us almost immediately stopped carrying them because they sat on shelves. At one point my friend and I bought all the remaining Infinity Challenge they had outside of starters at clearance prices. They did get a small bit of Clobberin' Time in (which I also eventually bought at clearance prices) and never got any more Heroclix in. Electronic stores managed to keep it around till about Indyclix but they soon bowed out as well, most likely killed by unsellable extra Sentinels and Sinestro figs as well as the few who were dumb enough to stick around to stock stuff like MLB Sportsclix.
Things were retooled and they started selling those two-figure packs at places like Wal-Mart again and music stores like Suncoast. Those also sat on shelves forever only I didn't buy them when they went on clearance because it was Icons and Universe. Batman Alpha was largely a bust at Target and Halo Actionclix was even worse. I saw a Warthog figure sitting on Target shelves less than a year ago. They also have the Heroclix Classics line currently which I see sitting on shelves at Toys R'Us constantly (the reprinted Iron Man stuff) and I managed to pick up one of those at a clearance sale at a music store a while back because I didn't have Gennady Gavrilov and it was maybe 3 bucks for the pack of 6 figures.
I don't know why they keep doing this. All it does is make it that much harder for folks who actually want the figures to get their hands on them and makes it much easier for early bird scalpers to rip people off on eBay like with any "limited edition" or "Target Exclusive" figure that goes on sale.
