Date: March 10th.
Time: 1:00 P.M.
Prize: Winner: Hugo Strange LE! Fellowship: Hugo Strange LE!
Points: 500
Format: Swiss Rounds, Golden Age, Timed: 45 minute rounds.
Special Rules:
For this event players must construct a team following these rules.
1. There must be at least 5 figures on your team.
One of your figs must have the "Past" keyword. If it does it gains the following trait: "This character cannot be targeted by mind control." (Fry)
One of your figs must have the "Monster" keyword. If it does, it gains the following trait: "This characters can use Smoke Cloud as a free action immediately after the resolution of an action in which it moved, but the first hindering terrain marker must be placed in a square moved through by this character this turn." (Dr. Zoidberg)
One of your figs must have the robot keyword. If it does it gains the following trait: "This character can use steal energy." (Bender)
One of your figs must have the scientist keyword. If it does, it gains the following trait: "This character can use pulse wave." (Professor Farnsworth)
One of your figs must have zero printed range. If it does, it gains the following trait: "This character can use combat reflexes and close combat expert." (Lela)
If all of these requirements are met your team is considered a non-generic theme team.
Clarifications:
A fig can meet more than one qualification (that is, your "Fry" can also be your "Dr. Zoidberg." If it does it receives both abilities).
Only one ability can be given to a fig per game, even if multiple figs meet the requirements (that is, you cannot have two "Dr. Zoidbergs"), but you may change which fig has the ability between rounds as long as another fig meets the requirements.
The format for the Month Four Event is a 400 point, Sealed event.
Due to the popularity of Batman and Streets of Gotham, the store is sold out of these products, so this event will utilize ANY heroclix product in the store, including starters, Lord of the Rings figs, Tabapps, ANYTHING. Products are first come, first served, just so long as a player has a pool of TEN figures from which to make their team. All other aspects of the scenario are unchanged.
Prior to the event, players will “declare their allegiance” to one of the six No Man’s Land “Gangs (GCPD, Batman, Joker, Two--‐Face, Killer Croc, or Black Mask). They are now fighting for turf on behalf of their chosen gang. Upon completion of the event, the Gang with the most Event Points has now conquered Blackgate Prison for their Gang. “Tag” the corresponding location on the included laminated Gotham City map with the appropriate Gang Token (also provided).
Due to the cost of obtaining the prizes for the No Man's Land events, the store owners have decided to charge a one time fee of $10 per person for the No Man's Land events. This one time fee covers ALL No Man's Land tournaments, but does not cover any other additional costs (such as the cost of packs for sealed events).
Players are NOT "banned" from any other No Man's Land event if they have not yet paid the fee, and while supplies last, will be awarded retroactive participation prizes.
That is, even if you can't make it to the first No Man's Land event, don't worry. You can show up for a later one. You will still have to pay the $10, but will retroactively receive participation prizes (but not points towards the final event) as long as we have them to give out.
