As a reminder, this coming Wednesday (3/21) is NOT our month 3 Infinity Gauntlet game as was Originally scheduled. Instead we are running a 500 point Bizarro game. If you've never played a Bizarro game before, you start each of your figures on their final click of life and they go TOWARDS the green line as they take damage. If you were to heal them, you would click them AWAY from the green line. If you play any characters named Bizarro, Bizarro Girl, Batzarro, or Yellow Lantern, they are played as normal.
Next week (3/28) will be our Month 3 Infinity Gauntlet Game for the Champion and the Power Gem.

Not Necessarily. I can think of at least 4-5 of our players that are easily as good as Brian if not better, and we have several "Up and Comers" at our venue that are going to very soon be in that league.

Agreed. Also, most of the players at the venue tend to play more "fun" teams then Brian typically does. Also, given the venue's normal Silver Age scenarios, this levels the playing field as a lot of Brian's teams typically rely on 2-3 specific feats which are used with high regularity.
Remember, we have had 2 different IG winners in the first two months and they were both regular weekly players and not some of the many people who have only shown up for these events. Based on that, I would say the venue's players are fairly strong.
I was an IG winner my 1st time comin out there to your venue. Lol. Which is saying something because my luck is usually poor. Most of my best nights were sealed events..but my pre mediated team building is getting better. The part about brian was just for a familiar laugh for anyone who knows what I mean. Haha
They always have free play game night on Saturdays, but there is no Heroclix event scheduled, no. I'm thinking of making the next Saturday game on the 21st of April more than likely if that works for Eric and the store.

As a prize for winning the weekly game on March 21th, not only is Rob letting me name the scenario for Wednesday, April 4th, but he is also letting me post it here to the venue's thread. Therefore, without further ado...
"For the Leader!" - Silver age. Build a named keyword team with only one figure between 150 and 300 points, and all other figures below 150 points. Resources are not allowed (No gauntlet). 750 points.
To help you out, here is a list of all the generic keywords that are not usable for this scenario. All other keywords are allowed:
Animal
Armor
Brute
Celebrity
Cosmic
Deity
Detective
Future
Herald
Kid
Martial Artist
Monster
Mutant
Mystical
Past
Police
Politician
Psychic
Reporter
Robot
Ruler
Scientist
Soldier
Spy
Teen
Vehicle
Warrior
One Additional Note:
As the purpose of this scenario is to see some great comic accurate teams (with some creative interpretations due to mixing members from different eras of teams), if you can make the case that a specific figure should be granted a certain keyword for your team to Rob for comic accuracy, it is Rob's sole vote on if he will grant you the keyword for the game. A perfect example of this is the Hulkbuster figure from Mutations & Monsters was created before the Hulkbuster keyword was created with the Hulk set. This would be a figure you can ask Rob if he would grant the keyword for the game.
I would warn you to not wait until that night to ask Rob about figures. Either ask on this thread, email him, or text Rob about figures ahead of time. Alternatively you can bring a backup team that meets the requirement just in case Rob judges against you on your main team. Basically, as the boy scouts say, "Be Prepared".
Prize:
To promote good themes, I plan on bringing some of my own extras and giving them to whoever I think comes with the best theme team. So be creative! This will be on top of whatever prize support that the store will have for that day (No, I don't know what the "official" prize is for this game).
I will definitely be creating a team or two for this.
Things have been winding down at work and now
I have been getting more and more time, so
I will be seeing you guys this coming wednesday.
