These are terrible. Wretched. Forget about the dial, their are only two sculpts here that I consider to be passable.
I wonder if the delay wasn't because Iron Maiden saw these and thought that maybe they should never see the light of day.
Powerslave Eddie doesn't look at all like Eddie, but beyond that, he doesn't even have any feet.
I was going to go in with a friend and split a CTD, but I just sent them an e-mail to look for themselves. Won't hurt my feelings at all if they want to change their mind.
Seriously Wizkids, if these underperform, it may not be so much that Iron Maiden fans (and even the Clix players at large) didn't care or weren't interested in having these.
Look instead at yourselves and what effect releasing amateurish sculpts with even worse paint jobs might have on sales.
Sculpts look like junk except for the cool looking blue one on the bottom left!
Definitely not a fan of the band or the music, so this is one less thing to buy. On the bright side I have a friend that would BRICK! If I got him a few of these.
So these are the last clix I will ever buy? Yes, suckered in again, I pre ordered these in March. I was one who had to have them, and now I feel so damn stupid.
Cheap bastards have probably been holding onto them since the Trooper showed in 2010. They were probably the last sculpts on the Topps line, they look that terrible. The dials don't matter anymore, everyone who played Heroclix is gone where I live. I wanted these to display and possibly to give to some of my friends who are IM fans, but these will just be thrown in a cardboard corner and be forgotten.
So disappointing. I can only hope that they look better up close. But the future doesn't look bright at all.
NIce job WizKids, another fine effort you made there. Bastards.

Just crap. One of the worst things to license for a miniatures game. How many Iron Maiden fans are playing HeroClix? Quite a few, but not the thousands to keep this heavy metal line making the kind of sales numbers they need to recoup the cost of the making of these ugly sculpts of a mascot of some 80s metal band. I will never buy these. Whats next? My little pony? Ugh...corporate sellout.
I'm a pretty large Iron Maiden fan, and I can't wait to get my hands on these. I'm not sure what kind of powers they'll stick on old Ed to make him stand a chance against the likes of Superman though. I hope (as someone pointed out earlier) they do have song lyrics attached to their powers whenever possible. *Throws up the horns* Much respect to all of the metal fans out there who are also excited for the set regardless of paintjobs/sculpts.
it almost looks like the paint jobs were deliberate. Like they were going for almost an 80's street tagger spraypaint look.
Either that or some lucky little paraplegic kid's Make-A-Wish foundation wish finally came true.
'Grats to you folks waiting for these. In spite of the paint jobs, it is a good sign that a healthy company will make such a niche product. That is good for our long term, no matter what line you play. Now let's have a Molly Hatchet, Axe, Pat Benatar or Lita Ford clix!
