I plan on ignoring that ruling. Yes, the official ruling. Why? Because any means any. Any does not mean a, an or some. Leadership requires adjacency and a friendly character that is a lower point value to remove a token. THE BLACK ORDER OBEYS: doesn't require adjacency because it says ANYwhere on the map. It doesn't require friendly or lower point value because it can target ANY character. If I roll leadership with my 200 point Thanos and my opponent has a 300 point Thanos with the Black Order Keyword and I feel like removing an action token from him, I blatantly can do so because the rule says I can.
If a judge wants to enforce the official ruling that is their choice. But the ruling's wrong, because English. If you want to claim that the people who write the rules "can't be wrong" I guess there is that argument. But I don't think that holds true. Maybe what they intended isn't what got printed on the card, but the rule on the cards says any.
It's never going to come up for me, really. First , because I won't ever play this figure because the sculpt is beyond pathetic and second because I forget to roll leadership every time and fail every time that I do remember to roll.
When he does and succeeds, he may remove the action token from any character with the Black Order keyword anywhere on the map.
It says "any", not "any other". It says "anywhere", not "adjacent" or "in another square".
I would rule this permits him to remove one from himself or any - ANY - character (friendly or not) with the Black Order keyword, with any level of points, anywhere on the map.
That's literally what it says. If WK argues that Game Design intended it to read/work otherwise, then they should ####ing issue an errata to his text and change it to what they intended. To just rule it to be X, just ... BECAUSE ... is not a good way to run this game.

please take this to the Leadership thread I discussed/launched.
I'm starting to "back down" from this position - that this is just plain vanilla leadership with a removal of adjacency for figures with the keyword - not like some of the other effects that look like Leadership and are token removal powers.
