Why not replace Batman with Joker? Batman Origins Quick Start version. It's funny, just peeking at all the Batman villains and almost all could fit this theme. Sure Riddler and Penguin might be iffy but not wholly inappropriate. Anyway Joker against Spidey, he ups his damage to 4. Needs 5, rolls 5. SS is 1. 4 to Spidey, 1 to Joker.
Sticking with Batman enemies and returning to our Halloween game of last year: enter Catwoman. Solovar plops her into G15.
She needs 7 to use Elaborate Deathtrap on Frank, gets 8. He's in the Deathtrap. Just for your reference Catwoman and he have 4 different colors for the escape roll.
Black Adam tries to regen: 5. Nice.
DC isn't as fun as Marvel for this game but they do have plenty of interesting options in their line up.

"I assure you, I'm as sweet as a summer day in a lilac field," he says. He then pulls out a pistol from behind his back and blasts him. "Of course, I am allergic to lilacs!".
Meanwhile Frankenstein runs into his own issue: namely Catwoman. "Hiya tall, dark and gruesome, let's play cat and mouse. I'll be the cat." A large net falls on Frankenstein and lifts him skyward.
"Struggle all you like, darling, the net releases toxins that make you drowsier and drowsier the more you fight. Go ahead, take a nap, that sounds like a puuurfect idea to me."
I see that you are already playing the Joker that I just drafted. He's certainly a character that qualifies in every version. For make it all work I'll swap for IK Vet. Spidey takes only 3.

Spider-Man's suddenly loses control of himself. He unloads his own webbing on himself and sticks himself to the ground. "What the heck am I doing?" he asks.
"My will," Dr. Fate adds, "Firestorm, now attempt to strike."
"Now this I like better," Firestorm says aiming at Spider-Man.
Frankenstein does the trap thing. He rolls 11. Much better. Catoman's Bonus is now 3. Even with a 6, she can't beat that. Frankenstein goes back to the starting area.
As an action, he will try to Regenerate. Rolls 1. Doesn't happen.
Since I can't not play him in this, Shuma-Gorath in next. He just moves E/F7/8
Doom RS to N12 on Black Adam, Wanda Perplexes his AV to 12 on DV18 +1. Gets 5. Wanda makes it 5 again. Shuma makes it 5.
Mole Man tries to MC Doom AV12 on DV18. Gets 5. I'm getting a run on those.

He Charges, grabbing the HO from L15, ends K16, attacking Adam. AV11 on DV18. He gets...wait for it...a 5.
Carmilla on Catwoman, AV10 on DV17. She gets...NOT a 5!!! She gets a 4.
Ooh, wait, Hobgoblin can still go. And I blocked all my likely targets. RS to M10 with a shot at Fate, AV11 on DV18 +2. Gets 6. Gradually getting better, but gradual wasn't what I needed to hit Fate.

If Joker's at 3, he's past his Mastermind and onto Willpower. But then, by your own admission, you didn't expect him to last.

Adam's obviously tied to Shuma Gorath's Emerge Trait, so this may be counterproductive, but Shuma attacks Adam. Being Colossal, he can shoot right over Joker's head, and the LOF is there otherwise, I checked. AV12 on DV18. Gets 3. He PCs himself to an 8. Imperv is 4. 3 to Adam.
Debating pushing Iron Slayer. He's in a rough place, but he loses a lot taking that one click, so I'll just have Hobgoblin Outwits Fate's PC and cross my fingers.
