Choices. Everything in the world boils down to choices. In this new world without men, the choices you make affect everybody around you in ways you can never foresee. Maybe there was something to the whole morphic resonance theory that has been making the rounds. With a few exceptions, several people spread about the city all had the same idea. Let’s look in on them now.
-------------
A figure looked up at the sky, before the plague, seeing the stars at night was all but impossible in her hometown. Light pollution was a real problem, there were others obviously, but that was one of the ones she never got used to in her adoptive home. Growing up, she could see the stars at night easily. When she got her last job, she moved to a large metropolis. The city provided for her beyond her wildest dreams, but it still was missing some of the simpler comforts. So with plague and the loss of a consistent electrical grid, seeing the stars again made her experience a feeling of childlike joy. The new moon tonight made the stars stand out even more. She made her way down to the highway, there were many abandoned vehicles. They were raided months ago and offered very little in the way of supplies. But people have a way of overlooking the small things. The woman found something that could be of tremendous help to her future endeavors.
Another woman walked through the broken glass of a department store and up to a mannequin, and studying its features. She never understood purpose for such trivialities. She was always a woman with a purpose. She still is, even though that purpose now took her to a place she’s never been. She stared at the mannequin for a few more moments. She took something for herself and left.
The man couldn’t stay long. He ran in grabbed some supplies and made his way back to his camp outside of town. He didn’t want to be seen, so “In and out quickly” he thought. Then he thought, “they made a good burger.” Then immediately after, “That’s what she said.” He looked around and laughed. “Pretty much everything now is what she said, isn’t that right, Amp…” He turned and saw nothing. “Amp?” Frantically he looked around the store and went running, “He never stays still”
The monkey ran into another woman, who was going about her business. Startled the monkey screamed at the woman and flung poo (so cliche I know). The woman had to make a change of plans...and get a change of clothes.
The woman enjoyed, the what was for her, a good day. She was taking a night run when she stumbled across something very useful indeed.
Another woman knew exactly what supplies she wanted. She was driven, but constantly hindered in the past world. In this world though she was a goddess and these supplies would help keep her that way.
Yet another woman wanted one thing. A way to talk to her love. It was difficult being away from her, but her love had a mission. And she couldn’t keep her from it. While she was sent to keep tabs on her, their connection was intense. Even with that revelation her love still forgave her and she was grateful for it. As she rummaged through the electronics shop, she stopped. She couldn’t believe it, most electronic stores never had these things in stock. Now she could at least contact anyone. But there was only one person on her mind. Unfortunately for her, it would be the last thought she would ever have as a blade pierced through her heart. The last thing she thought was, “...Allison”.
michiganj24 is dead. He was Rose Copen (town), former Australian Naval Lieutenant and explosives expert.

Sorry for the late open. Had some unexpected visitors. It's also my brother's birthday tomorrow (well today technically) so don't expect much in the way of updates from me.

Right away - feel like UPS. Nothing much to report on my end. Like Ice, I failed last night. If it was a a Jailkeep, yay, I always appreciate that! If it was a RB... Well really, I can't complain too much in a game this size.
Heading to bed.
"Why would the possibility of me being wrong ever stop me from doing something?"

Wow. Fascinating. You gave us so much it's like a campfire share-a-long.
You failed. Ok. We had one kill. Makes your failure more interesting.

*Yorrick and a bunch of gals scavenging (ok, Kontrol's thing so maybe he wants to showcase)
*A death (would be strange to have a death that didn't get written up)
*Ampersand RB'ing someone
Now DF, upon questioning, gets fussy and says he failed. Possibly JK'ed - maybe he wants to share a target and others can say "Same" and we decide there was a JK involved - or maybe he's the person whose RB by Yorrick warranted the write-up attention.
I know same could be said of Ice but I had reason to start on DF so that's where I'm focused. Plus Ice volunteered before the topic arose which gives him some leeway towards "actual frustration". Though he was quick to point out he didn't target DF: trying to say his failure isn't connected or trying to head something off to look better... Eh, for now, I'm not feeling Ice pinging the radar though I'd help support pressure if others feel otherwise.
Maybe I'm just focused on not letting DF get away with a fairly a evasive snark answer.
