Mlle. Marie returned to the Jewish family and sadly told them she could not yet effect their escape. She promised she would do everything she could to protect them in the meantime.

The Yellow Lanterns and the Green Lanterns faced each other while Galactus battled Surtur a 1000 miles away.

Hal Jordan ordered Sinestro to leave. He was too much of a distraction during a tense time.

Sinestro was thinking about how Galactus had recently humiliated the Anti-Monitor. Now the Anti-Monitor was recovering on Quard.

Sinestro was looking for ways to control the Anti-Monitor.

Abin Sur tried to address his wayward son but Amon Sur refused to respond to his overtures.

The confrontation was tense.

Day 64: Noon Paris; Vichy France. On a replicated Earth in an alternate reality.

Fire; Beatriz da Costa, was trying to hold some semblance of the Justice League together, along with the Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Black Canary and Booster Gold. It was not easy.

She was flying on a mission J'onn J'onzz sent her on when she saw the rift.

She tried but failed.

Mikron O'Jeneus; Gizmo of the Fearsome Five, stared up at the Eiffel Tower and wondered what was going on. His last memory was a confrontation with Dr. Sivana which went very badly for him.

Now he lived again. But why was he in Paris? What was the reasoning? It didn't make sense.


Gizmo turned on the vacuum cleaner attached to his back that he'd rigged as a jet pack and flew up into the stratosphere.

Fire emerged from the rift in reality and saw Gizmo flying up into the sky next to the Eiffel Tower.

Beatriz was familiar with Gizmo from his JLA file provided by the Teen Titans.

He had flown out of her range and was moving across the Parisian skyline at an incredible clip for someone who was flying via vacuum cleaner.

Fire watched until he was out of sight then looked around.

She could not understand why she was in Paris.

Gizmo flew across Paris wondering what was up.

Suddenly the visage of the Midnight Rambler appeared before him.

"I will take you to reunite with your friends. The Fearsome Five will live again."

What could he do but agree.

Beatriz da Costa suddenly noticed how out of place she was in her surroundings. Everyone was dressed in period clothing and the period seemed to be well before she was born. Her green costume stood out like a sore thumb.

There were no Nazi soldiers around because they were all assigned to intercept the Punisher and his war van but Beatriz had no idea of that. Some Gendarmes saw her and moved to detain her for questioning. She transformed to Plasma and flew off in the direction she'd seen Gizmo fly off toward. Maybe the supervillain would be able to provide her with answers.

The shocked Gendarmes fired pistols at her but the bullets just whizzed through her Plasma form.

The Midnight Rambler delivered Mikron O'Jeneus to Blockbuster's estate in Bludhaven which currently housed his teammates in the Fearsome Five, Shimmer, Mammoth, Jinx and Psimon. It also housed the Serpent Squad; Sidewinder, Anaconda, Asp and the Copperhead that originally was of Gizmo's own universe but had joined the team.

Princess Python and Ringmaster had been living there but had slipped away due to Copperhead's harassment of Princess Python.

His teammates were surprised to see their last member revived. With Gizmo's arrival, Psimon decided to confront Blockbuster and threaten to leave unless he was given equal partnership in their alliance. Blockbuster needed the Fearsome Five in order to stay viable in the overall picture in this new reality. He was furious with Copperhead for driving the Ringmaster and Princess Python away but there was little he could do about it.

Blockbuster reluctantly accepted Psimon's terms.

As Fire flew across Paris she could see no sign of Gizmo anywhere but she could see the odd sight of a standoff between the Punisher's war van and several Nazi soldiers and vehicles. Nazi soldiers? What the?

The Punisher's van had run out of gas, which meant even Longshot's luck could only go so far.

The Punisher and the Black Widow were firing assault weapons at the Nazis from the roof and side windows while Baron Strucker was directing the Nazi assault on the war van.

Fire had no idea about who the war van belonged to but she recognized it's more modern design and knew that Nazis were bad so she immediately knew who's side she was on.

When several bazooka's were leveled toward the war van, Beatriz leapt into action, melting the bazookas at the exit chambers.

Baron Strucker ordered the Nazis to shoot Beatriz out of the sky but that proved useless. Strucker was forced to order a retreat. because Fire could not be harmed in her plasma state.

The three Amazons were chomping at the bit to get out and fight and when Baron Strucker ordered a retreat they tumbled out of the van hoping to do some damage. They were followed by a hapless Longshot.

Fire landed to speak with the Amazons as soon as she saw them. When Longshot came out after them her heart skipped. He was so good looking she felt faint.

Finally the Black Widow and the Punisher stepped out. The Punisher was fully armed and ready for anything.

The Black Widow was armed with one of Frank's assault rifles.

Introductions began, When Beatriz learned that three of the women were Amazons who knew Wonder Woman she was reassured. Longshot still made her heart flutter but she tried not to show it. She was thrown a little by his three fingers on each hand.

When she was introduced to the Black Widow and the Punisher, things just got more surreal.

Mikron O'Jeneus told Psimon what he'd encountered when he arrived which wasn't much. The Midnight Rambler had pulled Gizmo out before he'd even had a chance to see anything. All they knew was that Paris was the evident arrival point. Psimon told Blockbuster and Sidewinder.

Cave Carson and his Mighty Mole was soon covered in moloids. They blocked everything in their swarming curiousity.

Bulldozer Smith wanted to blast them off the Mighty Mole but Cave showed restraint. "Let them satisfy their curiousity and they'll leave. Then we can study them at our leisure.

The Team settled back to wait it out.

The Sensei was led to believe he was back in WWII. This was an irritating development. He would have to lay low and let his surrogates handle any issues unless the situation was dire.

Doctor Octopus contacted Wilson Fisk and worked out a deal. There would be solidarity between Spider enemies. The Kingpin could count on the Sinister Six.
