Why conditions on this? Seriously, it sounds like you are just after me at this point. Three people had pressure votes when you voted, you picked me. Since it seems people are adamant about pressure, I find a real live non-random reason to pressure, and you want a conditional on switching.
I sort of am, but it's because of principles. I like day 1 pressure, and day 1 pressure is kind of pointless if you can just say "Nuh-uh, don't wanna." It grinds my gears a bit, so for now I am sticking with you. It's not personal though.
Okay I'm glad I'm not the only one. With people saying this game is vanilla I thought I was missing something and that's why I kept rereading and trying to understand the rules. Thought I was missing something. But I don't see how this game is vanilla at all and so I support a claim from Cbob.
You either didn't read my post carefully enough or you're really twisting what I said. Nowhere did I claim this was a vanilla game. And saying it is makes no sense even for scum or demogorgon, considering gfish posted 3 full roles and none of them are remotely vanilla.
I didn't say you did. I quoted you as saying that there was no flavor to the roles. OMAC moment? Maybe not. But better than voting for me a) for no reason or b) because of my preferred and well-known feelings about for day one.

I have principles too. I'd rather get lynched frankly based on *your* principles making *me* an N1 target.
You've got it backwards. For one, plurality voting tends to lend itself more to voting analysis and trains. Second, in a high mortality game like this we really can't afford to have the typical realms passive day one.

Now, in a regular game with majority lynch, vote trains d1 don't mean much. But with plurality each vote matters. There's no such thing as a throwaway vote, since every active vote could contribute to a lynch if other people move their votes. That means that how people vote matters, and you can analyze voting patterns and vote trains.
Once again, mafia games have two phases, and only playing in one of them doesn't help your side win.
You've got to read my post in context. Nowhere am I claiming this game is vanilla (again, just looking at the three posted roles proves that wrong and would make it an idiotic scum claim). I brought up vanilla because it shows Ignatz' assertion that D1 voting is "stringing up a rando" isn't true. Vanilla games with plurality voting typically have good D1 pressure and produce info whether or not somebody gets lynched. That's the extent of the comparison, as I've explained a couple of times.

Please point out where I said this game had no flavor to the roles.
And yes, your vote for me is better than voting you for either of those reasons. But seeing as I've never voted for you, perhaps you should change your vote to somebody who has?
Typically when I go for early pressure, I tend to be mafia.
But, it does appear that Jackie and Cbob will think I'm mafia regardless (spoiler alert, I'm not.), but my character is pretty solid, so that doesn't bother me.
I don't think Cbob is scum, Jackie trying to toss me under a bus with shaky logic (do I check out of games when scum? Yes, when the situation is freaking hopeless and I'm tired of the game... this is DAY ONE and I have relatively no pressure.)
So yeah, I'm leaning to Vote for Jack, but convince me otherwise.

I'm actually getting a handle on what's being said now. Even that sentence by Jack. And the more I understand the more I can see this is going to be difficult for both sides. Voting trends -are- going to mean a lot. So those people not participating should get a lot of encouragement to participate.
