The Prophet of Regret had been receiving other visitors. The Dominators and the Kree had sent delegations to learn about who he was and what he represented.

They were learning about the Covenant and it's alliance against the human race.

They weren't alone.

Skrull spies disguised as servants and objects positioned around the room were learning all of this themselves.

The White Martian fugitives that J'onn J'onnz and the Nova Corps were pursuing had arrived on Rann only hours before their pursuers and were insinuating themselves around Rann in an attempt to hide from the Martian Manhunter and his allies.

They scattered around the planet, counting on their telepathy to keep track of each other's whereabouts. They had unsuccessfully attempted todestroy Xandar and now they were preparing to do the same to Rann.

However, the incursion of the Covenant alliance intrigued them and they were curious how this would play out.

Day 75: Late morning; on the replicated planet Rann in an alternate reality.

Cammy White was working on an assignment for MI6 in London and had no idea what had been happening to her fellow Street Fighters throughout the day.

Therefore she was unprepared when the rift in reality opened to collect her to join the other kidnapped Streetfighters.

Cammy emerged from the rift in reality in the midst of a small swarm of Grunts (Unggoy) from the Haloverse.

They were under orders to destroy all humans and gender was not an issue.

Because she was on assignment for MI6 when she was kidnapped, Cammy was armed. She was armed with a Walther PPK 7.65 mm. She soon realized it was useless against the armor of the squat creatures that were trying to kill her.

Cammy was actually scared in this scenario that she found herself in.

These bizarre creatures were firing futuristic weaponry at her and she was not at all sure she would be able to evade their fire.

The grunts were firing plasma pistols, One had a Fuel Rod Cannon, and some others were hurling plasma grenades at her. It was all she could do to evade their weapons, there were so many of them, though the creatures were plodding compared to her.

She needed to get away, but she didn't dare turn her back on them.

Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago were deep in conversation about their situation. Damon Baird didn't participate because he was worried about his friend Augustus Cole, who they hadn't found yet, plus he was driving the Armadillo so he was focused on that.

Marcus was surprised that Santiago insisted that he had died and through some miracle, lived again. It was too much for them to sort out so Fenix didn't even try.

Suddenly Baird spotted the Street Fighter Cammy trying to evade the fuselage of the Halo Grunts trying to eliminate her. He stopped the vehicle immediately.

Damon Baird shouted, " Look at this crazy half naked broad trying to stay alive over here with all this firepower comin' down on her! Ya gotta give her credit. She's game at least, but she's gonna die if we don't do something!"

Fenix and Santiago interrupted their discussion to see what he was talking about.

Fenix ordered that they go in immediately. He could only hope that they got there in time.

Cammy was struggling. She was good at one on one but against several enemies she was out of her element. Her speed and agility as well as excellent reflexes were all that was keeping her alive.

She was handicapped because she had no idea who these creatures were or even where she was now.

When the Armadillo pulled up, Cammy barely noticed because she was focused on staying alive.

Marcus Fenix aimed at the Grunt with the Fuel Rod Cannon and picked him off first.

Dominic Santiago nailed another and Damon Baird took out two with the Armadillo.

The Grunts began to realize that they were in danger!

They began to ignore Cammy.

Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago had left the Armadillo to try to herd the Grunts away so that Cammy could get into the Armadillo with Damon Baird for protection.

Cammy was bewildered by the newcomers but she realized they appeared to be human and seemed to be on her side.

Fenix caught her attention and gestured toward the Armadillo. She understood and worked her way toward the vehicle.

As she got close. Damon Baird poked his head out the door and said, "C'mon, c'mon! Get in!"

She obliged and now it was a matter of getting Fenix and Santiago back into the Armadillo safely.

Fenix and Santiago were pretty nervous themselves. Plasma fire was beyond their technological expertise and they weren't confident their armor could resist it. There were steaming holes in the Armadillo where plasma had hit.

Santiago managed to get into the Armadillo first but the Armadillo was taking serious damage from the plasma. If Damon Baird hoped to salvage the vehicle, they would need to retreat soon.

Fenix knew that he would need to save the Armadillo if they hoped to get out of this in one piece. Unfortunately, the armor of these strange creatures was too much for their firepower in these numbers. The Halo verse was more advanced than the Gears of War universe.

He was nearly out of ammo when the Armadillo caught up with him and there were still several Grunts firing back at him.

He escaped back into the Armadillo and they beat a hasty retreat.

The battle raging between Captain Comet and Mister Fixit spilled over into the fight of the Grunts versus everybody.

When they were struck by plasma, both combatants stopped and turned their attention toward the Grunts. The Grunts were quickly shut down.

The Armadillo had beaten a hasty retreat because it had endured a great deal of cosmetic damage from the plasma grenades that had struck it and Damon Baird needed to find a safe place to effect repairs.

Meanwhile, Captain Comet and Mister Fixit took down the Grunts that had attacked them. They were added to Rann's prisoner base.

Captain Comet decided that Mister Fixit was not the problem and invited him to help Adam Strange deal with the incursion that threatened his planet.

The Grey Hulk decided he would get a kick out of helping the white hats for a while and agreed to join with Captain Comet and Adam Strange to defend Rann.

The Prophet of Regret now had a force of Grunts to field as he prepared to make his move to secure Rann for the Covenant.

Outside the Compound, he ordered his troops to attack Adam Strange, Hawkman(Katar Hol), Hawkwoman (Shayera Thal) and Starhawk. who had been reconnoitering the base.
