Herc tries his Challenge Cosmic Entities thing on Taskmaster. Rolls 2, Taskmaster rolls 6. That keeps backfiring on me.

Iron Man will Sidestep to B9. Assisted Targeting and RCE on the Serpent. +2AV/+1 Damage. So 12 on DV18. Gets 10. Impervoius is 5.

Nova replaces Firestar. HSS to H13 on Moonstone. SC is 6. Grr.

Iron Patriot will use her Defend on Thor - and also will use her ability to take a hit for him on any hit that would end up dealing him more than 1 Damage.

"Nay friend Hercules. I knew you could take him, but I also know you always fight better when egged on into a competitive spirit!" Thor said.

"That's a big snake," Nova noted, passing the Serpent, "but I'm just as concerned with some of you smaller snakes." He veered right into Moonstone. Or would have had she not turned intangible.

"Someone else could attack the big snake, just saying," Iron Man noted as his repulsors bounced off the reptile's scales.

"I can help," Iron Patriot volunteered.

"No offense, but I thought you were all about defense," Iron Man pointed out.

"I am, it's true," Iron Patriot agreed, "but I can still slow them down for you."

"Any help is accepted," the Vision said, hitting Taskmaster. "No matter the type."

I'm really liking these games. It's fun to dig out these characters in a focused way. Nova is definitely on my list.

To start, I need to pay attention to the Serpent's fear dial. He rolled 3 to start. He moves to 4 after hitting Firestar. Now he targets Vision. Needs 6, rolls 9. Kos him. Fear dial moves 1.

Next is Red Skull, who had one of my favorite Avengers storylines in the 2000s. The zombie version is his best by far. Songbird tks him to D15, he charges to D14. He goes for Herc. Needs 6, rolls 7. KOs him. Of course RS gets a food and Herc becomes him. The good news for you is I can't do a thing with Herc.

Task goes to his sidestep click, moves to block Vision.

"Careful, friend Vision, I am not in my right mind," Hercules warns his friend.

"What do you---?" Vision says before Hercules takes him out.

Thor double targets Serpent and Loki, AV11 on DV18 and 17. Gets 5. Voodoo makes it 7. SS is 5 for Loki. Impervious is 6 for Serpent. Well that stinks.

Iron Patriot, Triple Incap on Skull, Serpent and Taskmaster. AV10, rolls 10. Loki's out of range. Taskmaster SS is 3. All 3 get a token. Serpent also takes a click of unavoidable for the push. Rolls for Fear Gets 2. Fear goes back down to 4.

Iron Patriot will Defend Widow and Thor with her 18, though she will save her once per game "take a hit" for attacks on Thor.

I had really expected worse, certainly for Red Skull.

Loki outwits Nova's invincible. Moonstone to break? 3. Attacks Nova needing 8, rolls 10. 3 to him as your pc is out of range to help.

Taskmaster turns to his charge dial and moves to E12 attacking Natasha. Needs 7, rolls 8 ( 2 4s). Should've picked Iron Man but I didn't trust the die. 2 to her.

"In your dreams, Skull Face," she replies rolling with the hit, effective as it was.

That should be a second token for Taskmaster. Iron Patriot hit him with her Incap last turn. No permanent push damage, cause of the way his Trait works, but no actions for him next turn.

More importantly though, Loki can't Outwit Nova. Not from where he is. You couldn't have a more clear example of Moonstone blocking his LOF. You could move him of course, or do something else.

Alkhema needs 5 to finish off Nova, gets 6. He's out.

Task to click 4, outwits Widow's cr.

Red Skull isn't working as I'd hoped. He'll side to E11 attacking Widow. CCEs his av to 11. A 5 kos her, rolls 9. KOs her. She comes back on my side. 1 food to Red Skull.

I'll push Moonstone. RS to C10 attacking Voodoo. Needs 9, rolls 7. No surprise but at least she blocks Nova.
