That's not good for me, though.
Like how I wanted Uni-Mind but he turned into this super-meta figure and so his price shot way up, I wanted the Elders most of all from this set and now the first one previewed is going to be on every competitive player's wish-list so the price is going to shoot way up.
Maybe I will pull one. I am due a little SR luck.
But the Collector is not going to be the only SR Elder, of that I am sure, and it's possible that some of the others will be competitive as well.
Of course, but saying he's not good because you need to win map roll is silly.
You might want to try to reread my comment. I said collector needs to win the map roll to first turn steal, but that my impression of him overall was average even without stealing turn 1. he has a good dial length, range, and pc for his cost, but his powers arent very good. if your opponent just holds the equipment without equipping it, then you are stuck with a single target incap 7 range at 55 pts. is that terrible? no. but that is decidedly average in a competitive game.
however, he swings and becomes actually good if he wins map roll since he could be tked, then phasing teleport for 8 and steal an equipment from 7 away. but winning the map roll is what swings this figure from average to great.
*we don't know what the reality gem does, which might swing my rating on him again
Baron please in the super rares section you put Collector (64) before Taskmaster (61), I'm saying just to correct it before you have to put there too many dials

Considering how centered on item collection this Collector is, I'm interested to see what other wacky/trollish powersets are possessed by the other Elders.

Caregiver with a healing Pulse Wave, anyone?
I think trollish powersets is pretty much a description of the Elders, can't wait to see Grand Master be a twist on Trelane.

Doesn't work. Captain Marvel resurrects on click #3. You need to be top dial to swap.
From his place in the Units Section:
I NEED THREE YEARS TO FULLY RETURN: Once per game when Captain Marvel would be KO'd, instead give him 3 Resurrection tokens and place him on this card.//At the beginning of your turn, if Captain Marvel is on this card, remove a Resurrection token. When the last one is removed, place Captain Marvel in any square along the edge of the map on click #3. Protected: Pulse Wave
I'M COMING BACK TO SAVE EVERYONE: When Captain Marvel is placed on the map by use of "I Need Three Years To Fully Return", all standard characters that were on a starting force that were KO'd this game are placed on the map on their starting click this game and given a Spirit token. Friendly characters are placed along the same edge of the map Captain Marvel is, and opposing characters on the opposite edge. Until your next turn, characters placed this way can't be attacked.//This game, characters with Spirit tokens can't be replaced, can't generate bystanders and aren't scored. This game, when a character with a Spirit token takes damage, remove it from the game immediately.
Since Captain Marvel is never actually KO'd before his resurrection onto click #3, he isn't given a Spirit token, so he can be replaced. Just have a resurrected healer (placed adjacent during resurrection map placement) use Support to get him back on click #1, bring Kobik adjacent, and replace him with any Captain Marvel that sits at or below 100 points.

Oh I missed that. Power isn't too great then, just a Shifting Focus so she is over costed. She does more but Man 115 points. Basically Skull combined with Unseen. Gotta look again to see justification. At a glance, I thought she could swap out an injured Fig with a Top Dial since she is a chase and expensive.
Kobik’s character swap may help out for a character who has one figure who fits into a really good named theme team but has another figure who is just so much better for the points. I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone unlock that potential.
