Arrgh! Just found out that Australia is getting the Euro version. What foolishness!
I didn't mind the split set idea so much, since in my naivety I presumed that Aus would get the US version. Comics culture wise, Australians read a lot more US than UK comics. This is crazy!
The only Indy comic (in the set) that I've ever collected is Danger Girl. And now I can't get a Major Maxim (the ONLY character in the set that I was actually excited about) or a Natalia Kassle.
BAH Humbug!

Christ did not come to condemn the world, but to save it.
Of the 8 UK characters, there is only one that I am vaguely familiar with (Judge Fear).
Of the US Characters, I know 6 of them, with Major Maxim, Natalia Kassle and Shi being among the very few Indy characters that I actually want (wouldn't mind an Arwyn, an Ian Nottingham and a Darkness as well though).

If the European set doesn't have Shi in it, then why is Shi on the front packaging for the Starter? Well technically they'll still get the Unique but the version represented on the front, they're not getting.
And for that matter, why are all the European only figures used for the examples in the rule booklet (Stix, Wulf, etc.) if we're not getting them? Just seems like a simple goofy oversight.

So here I go adding to Kaitouace's sig again, but he hit the nail on the head. FOOM is very playable.
I need these European ones.... I'll go individual shopping to get the US ones you need if I don't get them in the few boosters I'm buying.

any level, but trying to trade for more than 1-1. I don't care about the majority of 37-60, so I should have a lot of these at my disposal. I play w/ a large group, so just PM me your needs.
ok first the brit cit judge now star...but checkthis if you haven't seen the sculpt...he's left handed! he has a daystick in his right hand and lawgiver in his left...
secondly where are you WakandaMan? of the 4 or 5 people I know that wanted Indyclix, we were alll glad it was UK and not US.
Number of USA only sculpts that I realy, realy want = 8
Number of UK only sculpts that I realy, realy want = 1
...of course, I want 1 each of all the figs, but the fact that, as I buy my figs in the UK, 8 of the ones I want most are not even going to be in the boxes I buy is just silly.
Of course I will trade to get them, as will most of you, I should think, but I still cannot get my brain round WK's reasoning...from a marketing point of view, it just makes no sense, and from a gaming one it makes even less.
WHY, in this day and age, should someone in the UK automaticaly want 2000AD figs more than CrossGen, or vice versa in the States ?
...and why on earth go to the (assumedly considerable) expence of packaging them differently too ?
LoL
All the Best
a very miffed
Noman
(oh, and they are STILL not available in Bournemouth - the "Big City" of Southampton has them, but we have to wait another two weeks for them to grind through the system...TANJ )
I'd like to thank Wizkids for making the dark judges so that 3 veterans and Judge Death add up to 401 points!
WHY???
They made the Fantastic Four work at 200, 300, and 400; would it be too much to ask for one of the dark judges to have had a single point shaved off?
For that matter, why are Judge Death and Psi-Judge Anderson not arch enemies? Likewise for Nemesis and Torquemada?
At least I'm not interested in any of the US-only figures (I'm not even interested in all the 2000AD figures, and have no interest in any of the other figures in the set), or I'd be even more upset...

British people prefer or only want British things...
Sound stupid? Of course, but that's the way Marketing exectutives think, especially in a America. Market execs think very little of the public and base most of their views on personal opinion and label it market research. They decide what we want to see. Ironically they are seldom correct. A brit-cit Judge was ridiculous! The comic primarily takes place in America! Thats SO blatantly kissing up to England while at the same time insulting you, like you wouldn't be comfortable with a "foreign" judge generic. Nothing like dividing race relations with gaming!
It's the same with certain things never brought to America because of potential lack of interest. One thing that took forever to become common over here, Anime, once thought to be a bad export choice to the States because of the way we "viewed" cartoons. Now Anime is plentiful.
I'm sorry, this kind of blatant nation-specific pandering is lame, I really hope WK decides to cut their loyal customers a break, take their eyes of the ungodly amounts of money they are raking in over little cheap plastic toys for a split second just long enough to give us fans in BOTH sides of the planet a break and make these great figures available to both of us! Please! I feel really bad for any of you guys in UK who love Danger Girl as much as I do, when I saw the exclusive list I thought UK got it worse than US! Contrary to my previous impression, It still sucks even though I'm getting the set I personally want.
I would have bought a case if they had all been in one 120 figure set... as it stands I'll save my money & get singles... So I guess my voice doesn't matter, but I feel like typing anyway...
