I was planning on buying a case or something... but now i think i'll just buy a couple boosters for each set, maybe get the good ROTS units. I probably will only play fun games, or whatever remains of "unrestricted".

At best, I feel, all they can hope for is a status quo. . . at best. Given the vehemently negative response around here, I don't forsee good things coming from this decision to retire sets. The game is dying here and this is not helping. :(
as a relative newbie to the game i have been collecting Faction Pure ROTS. my first purchases were boosters for the Liao Incursion, my chosen Faction, Republic of the Sphere. i decided to buy the books as well as buy the figures. i rapidly immersed myself in the MW universe an was impressed by what i found. as i rapidly found out, my best course of obtaining the full collection of ROTS was mainly ebay, i still bought boosters an traded with other club members however i always had to go back to ebay in order to get the LEs that were in all the sets i missed. now i have every ROTS unit. maybe i dont understand the real situation cos i havent followed the detail however the impression i get is that figures i paid over £60 for are now going to be phased out. am i upset, yes, however i was upset as Counterassault was released with no ROTS units. i still bought several boosters in order to help my club. i will confirm however that i will not buy more boosters if they decide to

phase out ROTS
merge with the Highlanders
phase out the figures from earlier expansions
not release ROTS in the next expansion.
the amount of support that WK have given to certain Factions is disgusting when i read how this Faction really needs this or that Faction wants that. i realise that i am a small voice in the wilderness compared to the giant that is WK however i have invested considerable time, effort and money in growing my hobby. if the plan goes ahead then please look to find me on ebay advertising my collection an moving back to other games like Warhammer, at least you now know from the outset that they are just after your money. i like to draw comparisons an i see WK acting like Bannson in the fluff...
I always buy one case up front, then go out and buy a lot of boosters that would add up to a total of 2 cases a set. I voted for fewer booster, BUT I plan on buying only one case of FP.But when this rule go into FULL EFFECT I won't spend a red cent on this game.
I also won't play in in sealed booster.Good job WK :devious: .
My purchases will be ending for the most part. Furthermore, Sportsclix won't even get off of the ground here, now. I had half of my group willing to give it a try. Now they won't buy any because of Wizkids policy of "Intentional Omission". They figure MLB will go to this eventually also. The other games are also in doubt (everyone I have heard in the group are saying they are not going to purchase anything more because they were already buying 2.0 before this).
Altought not much of a sports fan, it seems logical that a major appeal of Sports Clix would be to have "fantasy teams" of yesterday's ballplayers vs. today's ballplayers. With set retirement this is not possible. What a bummer.
