Sorry, Ghrey, old friend. No GenCon for me. Can't get away from work again during our busy season. Probably next year. The only other convention I'm likely to make this year is OryCon in November. It's pretty weeny compared to GenCon or Origins, but it's in my own backyard. I'll look forward to reviewing your other projects when you return.

Calin, actually if Magespawn were allowed, I have the perfect army using the Wraith. Oh, well. I'll think of something else, although I don't think I'll get to play this weekend. If I do, it'll be Sunday at Interzone.

Orycon 24 will be held at the Double Tree Hotel 11/22-24. Ticket price is $40 if purchased by 10/31. I already emailed WK to see if they will have a presence. I even offered to help run some events if they would sponsor them. Still awaiting a reply. Altan, I don't mean to harsh your gig, but that looks like a con that has nothing whatsoever to do with MK. Is it a gaming con? If it is I guess i will go. I trust ya. Let's get WizKids involved! I'll runa couple of events, too! There needs to be *something* here in the great northwest!

I will be back at good old UO by November, but I imagine that you could suck me (and my 40$) down from Eugene for the con if you get a solid number of MK events. I would love a place to play a broader number of players. Especially with all the buzz on these boards about cons, playing an 15 man tourny at interzone just isn't cutting it for me.

This is somewhat off-subject, but speaking of larger tournaments, are you guys going to make it to the chase-the-case minions release Calin's putting on? It has definite sweetness potential, especially if enough players show up.

Hey guys,

From what I gathered in speaking with James (not myself), the CotB, it's a sci-fi/fantasy convention with all of the usual aspects involved including gaming. It's limited to 1600 visitors, so it's not huge, but it's not going to get any bigger if we don't do our part. So Allyn and I will probably go. And it appeared as if tables were free if you wanted to Demo a product, although I'm still verifying that. So it might be nice to have an MK presence to promote the game and maybe even have a big tournament, perhaps a GNW championship or something. Hopefully WK will take a moment to at least respond to my email so I can get a feel for whether or not we can expect any support from them.

I didn't know Calin's event was up already. I'll have to go get signed up. That case is mine, guaranteed. So get your gosh-darned grubbies off of it! But I'll let you watch me open it, if you're nice. ;>

It's not on MK.com yet. Apparently Wizkids won't let him sign up for it until september or something. He posted info on it at the tournament/Contests section here, and you can PM him to let him know you're going.
