Well, we were allright there for awhile... welcome to you anyway. What's your prediction, Decktech? I predict we won't hear much more than that announcement from you, so thanks. (I will rush right over to see all your posts so I can really be ready for Knoxville.)
I think Stiner might have hit a key... streamline. All this metagame madness can confuse a deck into trying to counter instead of trying to win.
Yup, they both ain't bad. I will revise my prediction: One of the constructed PCQs this weekend will be won by big brotherhood packing Not So Fast AND Overload. Yes, that means it is not obsolete.
i am not sure overload should go with broterhood though, not that its bad or anything in the deck as it could help survive in a similar matchup and help against maybe bishop owning pyro. but i am not sure if the deck is as efective against other archetype that tech against it with a slot or 2 wasted for overload, its not like new brotherhood was so sooooooo above all other deck . but its really not a bad card , it is too early for me to tell.
but i do think that as of right now a new brotherhood deck will win.
I'd bet a pile of money that a new brotherhood deck will win. Just too many beats in new brotherhood and it definitely fits the "if you don't beat him in 6 turns, you are gonna lose" speed of the game.
i predict FF or brotherhood are gonna win since i believe they are easily the 2 best teams at the moment. and if a 2 team deck wins i predict that it will have FF in it :)
here's my 5 cents on the situation.. lots of kids are considering using overload to stop brotherhood from doing it's max damage.. now the brotherhood johnny gamers are just going to either a) only pump to just below overload status or b) run not so fast.. this is good for all us non brotherhood players because 1) less damage because they are shaking in their boots waiting for overload and 2) wasting good spots in their deck using not so fast and if say i do play an overload i'm getting a 2 for 1 card advantage.. i'm considering running 2 or less overload just to pop one off and bluff all the other games.. mind games are fun! "better watch out.. you don't want to pump that quicksilver anymore or else ya won't get another attack.. oops you've gone and done it now"
I run Overload in my Sentinel/Skrull fun deck, and it works amazing.
You know what stops Not So Fast after you play it to remove an Overload and discarded a card to make sure it worked? Yup, that second overload being played on the same chain.
Why would you play it on the same chain? Just let not so fast and the first overload resolve and wait for your opponent to pass priority back to you and then play another one. Way too many people use unnecessary chaining.
I think Stiner might have hit a key... streamline. All this metagame madness can confuse a deck into trying to counter instead of trying to win.
Indeed. People might decide this and then decide not to play Not So Fast. And then use of Overload will increase again. It is not obsolete.
And if you're chaging your tactics to avoid Oveload (i.e. pumping to just under the threshold), then I don't think it can be called obsolete. A card is only obsolete if players give it no consideration at all.
