I just hope he's a TS character.
UDE will take this oppurtunity to introduce tri-affiliated characters : Kal-L will be JSA-Team Superman-Crisis.
What, you don't believe me :p ?
Oh and Davhey, the second shadow is definitely Captain Marvel. The entire teaser images comes from a promotional flyer UDE gave to various stores awhile back. So no need for speculation there .

I'd actually like to see two versions of Kal-L patterned like this:
Superman, Earth-2
Teams: JSA/Team Superman
This version would represent Kal-L before the discovery of the multiverse.
Kal-L <> Superman, Hero from Which All Others Derive
Teams: JSA/Crisis
This version would represent Kal-L after the discovery of the multiverse. As such, this version of Kal-L would not be unique (which is why he would need a different name), but he also cannot be used for cards such as Man of Tomorrow and Last Son of Krypton because he's no longer the Superman.
Originally posted by davhey Yeah I was kind of excited to see a WW villian get some spotlight time, then he really didn't do anything. Literally - nothing. He threatened to do things a few times but nothing happened.
Couple quick things...
Psycho-Pirate isn't a WW villain (you might be thinking of Dr. Psycho). The Pirate is connected to the JSA (he first appeared against Dr. Fate & Hourman).
He did do things - just most of it was in "lead-in" titles (such as "JSA Classified") - or revealed as having been "off-screen" (such as manipulating Eclipso and the Spectre, or pushing certain villains - ones that surprised us as having joined up with others - into joining the Society).
I will admit, however, that I was disappointed at his current status (we've seen him regen from an eye-ball before so I don't think he's gone) or the relatively miniscule on-screen time he got in "IC". Then again, I admit I'm a big Psycho-Pirate fan so take that opinion with the appropriate caveats. :)

Originally posted by DarkestMage IT FRUSTRATES ME TO NO END to think the developers believe this to be a curve based game. Six drops are all awful, and most have abilities worse than four drops.
Ummm... Deathstroke is a rare. Grodd is common, as I recall.
Also, I think Deathstroke won't see much play in constructed (unless the VU team gets some crazy KO effects :ermm: ). The drawback is too much as it is now.
Bizarro: Nice call on the Kal-L / Supes setup. Not sure if they'll go that route, but it would make sense. Also, if they make a card specifically triggered off of Earth-2 versions of characters, this would be a nice answer to dealing with Kal-L in his various incarnations through the history of DC. I fully expect to see a 'Crisis on Multiple Earths' card to either link up with the new Crisis characters coming out, or to deal specifically with the Earth-2 characters. I mean, that COULD also be a JLA-JSA team-up, but I think they'd go with something else namewise if they make that card.

Why not name it after the very first JLA/JSA team-up story: Crisis on Earth-2 from Justice League of American #22. :classic:
Come to think of it, I'd like to see a card like this:
Quote
Crisis on Earth-2
Plot Twist
Ongoing
Threshold: 2
Ongoing: Characters you Control are not unique.
Whenever you recruit an Earth-2 character, put all Earth-2 characters with the same name you control into your KO pile.
Whenever you recruit a non-Earth-2 character, put all non-Earth-2 characters with the same name you control into your KO pile.
I originally tried to combine that with a JLA/JSA team-up, but that makes it way too wordy, so I ditched the team-up stuff and stuck with the "split uniqueness" idea.
I'm still pulling for Villains United/Hellfire. My first thought was to use 6-drop Hellfire Magneto, but as has been pointed out, Deathstroke has to be moved to the hidden area and you can't use deadly game....
but I can use Trevor Fitzroy, assuming I have initiative turn 7.
Start of combat, use Trevor to send Deathstroke to the hidden area. Deathstroke destroys their five drop.
Magneto stuns Deathstroke, stunning their 6 and KOing their 7, leaving Magneto and trevor to trample anything they might have left.
