Seriously though, I would go with Ultimate Marvel as an expansion and Marvel Zombies as an Essential. How cool was it that Magneto was the only one holding it down in the UFF issue with Marvel Zombies?

i was thinking.. it would be cool if vs system expanded to perhaps mechwarrior, or dungeons and dragons.

it would be awesome to see a star wars vs system too.

probably just wishful thinking though.

Well, as I understand it they are making as Marvel Zombies Vs. Army of Darkness crossover comic.. so, why not?

Savage Dragon would be a great one and could easily fit in with an Invincible set too.

While Marvel Zombies was an awesome series, it was only 5 issues. I'm not sure if there is enough there to make an Essential Collection.

But then again, it was CRAZY popular and written by Kirkman. : D

Well you have 2 Zombie Spideys for sure... With and without leg. Hulk <> Bruce Banner: Leg Sticking Out Of Stomach and Hulk: HULK EAT FLESH!. Luke Cage, Hawkeye, Wasp, C. America, Wolverine... the Fantastic Four... All zombi-fied and worth 1-2 characters each, plus the other tier 1 or 1.5 even tier 2 and 3 character zombies.

If you do Marvel Zombies as it's own EC, instead of a cross over you have Magneto, his acolytes, Galactus and the Ultimate FF for the opposition deck with maybe a couple 1 drop civillians with abilities like bounce from field/remove from game from hand to search for other survivors or activate to take an attack from a zombie, KO to exhaust character named Hulk... lol

I think it'd be a pretty easy collection to design.

When you compare Marvel Zombies with the wealth of Hellboy, it just came up lacking.

I agree, we could stretch just about any concept into an Essential Collection. And it could be done convincingly.

Marvel Zombies would make a good addition to a "What if?" Essential Colection, though.

Don't ignore the upcoming prequel (Army of Darkness tie in as well) AND the follow-up in which they will apparently battle some of the more intergalactic beings. (I'm assuming guys like Thanos, probably the Kree and Skrulls too)

They have enough characters to fill out an essential easy. If they wanted they could even include The Sentinel, since he started the whole mess. (In that world, anyway)

I do agree with that. I think Hellboy could be a full expansion.
