I agree with Capatian America. I didn't like registration. But it makes more stories now. And I think this is Marvel's Identity Crisis. No it was no where near the greatness but that was the downward spiral in the DCU and Infinite Crisis changed that so Marvel needed something drastic to change their Universe
Og and the capt giving up made perfect sense for me.
He was just about to KILL a good guy. It wasn't some guy who mass murdered millions it was someone who he fought side by side with. And for what? Nothing.
The shock of almost killing his friend made him give up.
Oh and there are good marvel comics nowadays just none of them really ahve anything to do with civil war or House of M.
Runaways
Astonishing X-Men
Ive heard good things about daredevil the past couple of years also spiderman but I havent read those lines really.
I think the problem is they bastardise the lines into the Civil War Arc and the House of M Arc and that the Arcs suck not the actual comics themselves. Plus in my opinion when they try and go on a epic level the writing goes majorly down.
I mean there was runaways/young avengers civil war and I heard that it sucked. I don't even think it was done by BKV.
Marvels not at a downpoint. Civil War was awful , thats fine just don't read lines by the main writers of CW and move onto your fave superhero's line cause it'll probably be 10x better.
Cap was wrong. He shouldn't have become a terrorist and instead worked it out in the appropriate way.
Which, for Cap, would have been continuing to save lives regardless of the law and speaking out whenever possible against the law for its unjust nature. The fact that he didn't do this is one of the myriad reasons "Civil War" is a very, very badly written story.

We didn't get enough of Cap's side in the whole thing. Too much time was spent trying to explain Tony's motivations, and because of that too many people think he's the bad guy. He's not. I don't see how anyone can say that he is.
Because he CLONED THOR and hired murderous thugs to fight on his side. It's not frigging rocket science. Doing bad things = bad guy.
Fear not True Believers! While the ending did come as a shock, in relations to Cap's decision, I believe the story is not yet over. If you remember back in the early formation of Zemo's new army of Thunderbolts to battle the Grandmaster--Zemo and the Cap had an encounter that made Cap promise to allow Zemo to battle the Grandmaster in return for a device (key?) that will allow Cap a trump card. Zemo tells him that during the war, Cap will be captured and his only way to escape would be that very device Zemo gives him. Maybe Cap has something up his sleeve that only he and Nick Fury know the plans to. I may be wrong, and I would check out that Thunderbolt issue for reference, but all my belongings are being shipped on a crate to my new duty station, and I won't be flying back to stateside for another few days. Anyone want to doublecheck? Thoughts? Comments? Disagreements?
One if the things that make me upset about civil war beyond the ending that made me say "WTH..Keep fighting u idiots", i so can't believe that Iron Man gets away with everything he did completely free. I was expecting him to get the just desserts after betraying his friends and then joining up with some of the worst villians in marvel history. I pray that he gets smacked so hard he craps himself for what he has done to captain america, spider-man, Goliath,.. to name a few.

I totally agree. I cant effing believe he looks like a hero at the end of this. I was a huge Iron Man fan prior to CW and by the end I wanted them to kill the ##cker. Sure, he did get his A$$ handed to him by Cap, but thats not enough. This guy unleashed psychopaths on his previous friends.
If there is any justice the Hulk will rectify this.

Thats just my opinion anyway.
My comic store owner told me Astonishing is ending. Anyone know if there is any truth to that? Thats def Marvels best title right now IMO.
I just listened to the "Battle of the Century" podcast and I personally agree with that Alan Scott guy. I was unsatisfied with the ending and felt just like I felt at the end of Back to the Future 2. . . that I'd just gone through a story only to be told "To Be Continued..." Zonos' argument that the issue would have normally ended at the scene with Punisher holding Cap's mask is compelling, but I'd have still been disappointed if that were the ending. The whole thing just seemed abrupt.

You are right just went and looked it up. Cap does get a key from Zemo. What it is for we don't know yet. But I think Cap will be called upon to stop Hulk so Cap will be back shortly.
No, he's not. Cap went off and did save lives regardless of the law, but when the conflict became a huge fight, he decided his actions were futile and counterproductive. He didn't accept amnesty, as he's still in jail, so I don't believe that he's done fighting this law. He's going to do it properly this time.
As for Iron Man, he's acting exactly as I'd expect him to. He's set his mind on the fact that this is what needs to be done (and Mr Fantastic has proved that mathematically). Was he even responcible for the new Thunderbolts? Everyone is crucifying Tony because they're assuming he's the "moustache twirling villain," because most comic book readers are not smart enough to accept a story without one.
Like I said, Civil War wasn't perfect at all. But everyone is focusing on the completely wrong things, and you're really making yourselves look like the stereotypical comic book fans.
