Tej with Good Guys. Turns out Removed from Continuity on Dr. Minerva is game winning. It was not even a close game. Matt got Second with Kree/Vu.
I'm happy for him that he won. I stood a chance against him when I played him with my Kree / VU (maybe), but as soon as he brickwalled me on turn 4, it was over.
We had a sad 6 people in Greenville, SC. Our "meta" looked like this:
1 Good Guys
1 Doomed Earth
1 Glock'd
1 Defenders/Syndicate(Deadpool)
1 Justice for all
1 Omac
I managed to make the finals with an Omac deck but lost to Good Guys because I yanked my Zinco's at the last minute, talk about bad beats.
1 Infernal Minions - Army
3 Beetle<>Mach I
4 Captian Boomerang - George Harkness
1 Owen Mercer<> Capt Boomerang - Digger's Son
1 IQ-Ira Quimby
1 Melisa Gold<>Songbird - Sonic Carapace
4 Lex Luthor - Nefarious Philanthropist
1 David Clintion<>Chronos - The Time Thief
1 Speed Demon - Second Chance Speedster
4 Dallas Riordan<>Vantage - Ionic Inheritor
2 The Joker - Headline Stealer
4 Scarecrow - Psycho Psychologist
2 Hawkeye - Leader By Example
1 Paul Erbersol<>Techno - Man of Metal
1 The Joker - Permanent Vacation
4 Win-Lose Deal
4 Secret Files
4 Gang-up
4 All too Easy
4 EOME
4 Justice is Served
4 A Proud Zinco Product
2 Injustice Gang Satellite
61 Cards Total
In retrospect I might have cut out 2 Zincos, Chronos, Owen Mercer and the Infernal Minions and Included 4 Justice Like Lighnings given the meta I expected and the meta I saw. Still - I can't complain.
Just buy the skin of your teeth LOL. No but your Deck is just Soooo consistint I would have lost to chris if I had gone to last round. His deck is fun he should have scooped one of his checkmate safe houses and got another Brothe EYE that would have been plus 11 for 2 on the field than that plot twit that taps locs could have gottin another +4. I told him that after Never Blow up The Rock.
I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment, even though I was guilty of it myself more than one of my three losses Sunday. Qualifying the other person's win ("But if I had been able to search out Dr. Tzin-Tzin, you wouldn't have stood a chance") is just poor form. I'm going to make a conscious effort to stop doing it at the next CC.
But see when you play the Empath Loop it is your deck's fault you don't win. I didn't draw one of my 14 cards that = Join Us or Die in my deck in the third game in the quarters by turn 6. So it actually was my deck's fault I lost.
Of course its the same reversed when my opponents doesn't draw the 4-6 cards in deck that actually disrupt my combo.
If you are actually playing Vs though, then yeah this stuff is bad form.

i do agree, most of the time it is the decks fault that someone loses (bad draw etc.) but it would be nice for the losing player to acknowledge that the winner played well. instead of belittling the win by stating that they SHOULD have won.
True that. Lucky for me that is all I am required to win by.
And as to the discussion about decks pooping out on unlucky people and bad draws, I belive there is a saying....
"Luck is statistics, taken personally"
and would add that there have been time that people have told me after a match - "I got a god draw and that was the only way I was going to beat you" - so you've gotta take to occasional crappy draw If you want the occasional nut high.
The Deadpool deck actually isn't even as complicated as using Coercion to establish the dual-loyalty necessary to recruit him. I play a primary curve of Beast (2), Albert Malik (3), Nova (4), Deadpool (5), Thanos (6), Hulk (7), Dr. Strange (8), and Galactus (9). Playing both Enemy and "B" Team makes it pretty easy to hit Albert on 3. Just pay his boost and you are good to go. I could probably make the deck even better with more thought put in to it, but the whole thing actually came about from sitting at a Modern Age tourney and not knowing what to build. So I was looking through cards and decided to build around him. He is a lot of fun and The Order is just a silly good card. If anyone really wants I will be happy to post a deck list just let me know.
