I voted Civil War, for many of the same reasons stated here. I think Avengers and T-Bolts need to be back in Silver Age. All the other options would feature teams fairly recently featured or refeatured. With DC getting a JLA refeature in DCL, Marvel should get some Avengers love.
Thanks! I clicked the link from the article and read the wiki entry on it, it sounds good. SPOILER:: who has the heart to assissinate aunt may :(
kingpin did obv! Spidey then broke into prison took off his mask & kicked kingpins ### in front of everybody. Then he told kingpin that if aunt may dies hes dead!
I'm not sure I can bring myself to vote. House of M was terrible, Civil War was terrible and the lead-in to Secret Invasion (the whole Elektra/Cage's baby thing) pretty much lead to my current non-Marvel reading status. I can't get excited about another X-men set and I didn't read Annihilation or World War Hulk.

suprising! I though Civil War was really really good. I didn't like how it ended but it makes sense now since Captain got shot. I also thought it made a great lead in to world war hulk.
I would agree with you though about reading non marvel stuff. I have been reading all this countdown stuff. I PRAY TO GOD THAT THE DC MAKE YOR OWN SET WILL BE THE DEATH OF THE NEW GODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TAAAAARUUUU!!!!!
Billy's kidding aside, I think Countdown might make for a good DC set. Yes, it has been a bad series so far. But I didn't like Civil War as a story either and it got my vote. Countdown could include just about every DC team that needs to be refeatured. The Death of the New Gods would be natural fit. And that team desperately needs to be refeatured.
The thing with Civil War is that it was all so predictable. When I was reading the story outline in Previews, I thought "oh, well Capt will be against it and Tony will push it". I can't think of anything besides the last few panels of the last issue that I didn't see coming. Then, of course, the end. Ugh...
I think that they could have worked WWH without Civil War, but I say that having read only 1 issue ever of any WWH book.
I'm actually not reading anything right now. At all. I just can't take moving from one big even to the next. They fooled me into 52 issues of...52, but that's it. I called "shenanigans" and moved on.
That will give us a fully fleshed out Negative Zone team allowing us expansion without a new affiliation. Allows for expansion on Kree, Skrull, Shiar, and Heralds. This would also give us the Nova Corps and a few of the solo's like Thanos and Drax. Annhilation was also the best storyline in the past few years I've read.
Civil War was laughable, just like when Nova laughed at Tony.

Wow! I think countdown has been really good. I didn't like 52! Infinte crisis wasn't very good either.

You're the only person I've ever seen who prefers Countdown to 52. Not knocking your taste in comics -- just bringing up the fact that the general consensus (Countdown = ###) doesn't apply to everyone. And it could make a good set.

I'm right there with you on Infinite Crisis. Much like Civil War, I thought they had a good build-up that fell apart. I think both Civil War and Infinite Crisis were disappointing stories. But Infinite Crisis was one of my favorite VS. sets and I think Civil War will be the same.
I loved 52. I consider it a modern masterpiece. But I don't think it would make a very good set. Out of curiosity, what didn't you like about it?
I expected to love Countdown. The cast features characters I am more invested in than the cast of 52. (Kyle's one of my favorites. I like Donna and Mary Marvel a lot too.) But the execution has been (in my opinion) just awful. I feel like I've read 26 issues of re-cap. Again, out of curiosity, what do you like about it?
