I'm also giving this deck a thumbs up. I've only played a few test games with it and messed up a lot of plays but I still won the games. There's SO many outs to bad draws with this deck. For example, say you're hand is down to just a couple of cards, and you have SRA up but you run into a plot twist on top of you're library. It's no problem, you can: Professor X it away, draw it with Birthing Chamber, Illuminati, Losing The Argument, Mind Gem, play a Rally character, search with Lockjaw/Refuge or even Night Thrasher if you need to.
Pro Tip (I think this is a given but) - ALWAYS play from the top of your deck first if you can. One game I had a Black Bolt out and no Quantum Bands but after playing a character Quantum Bands was revealed, and I played it from the top.
Yeah, this deck won the Clones event I ran on Sunday and it rocks. I'm vaguely worried about it in MA, but Joe says it doesn't work as well, so I'm hoping I don't have to bother meta'ing it in that format. ;)
Of course there are cards that worry it. You can play cards specifically to screw up any deck. Well done you. But the key point is that people don't play those cards and even if they do you can still beat them anyway.
Stamford incident seems like the simplist way of messing it up, but the Stamford incident is a bad card. The person that plays it would have to ditch their entire hand. Discarding their hand might make them lose just as much, albeit slightly more slowly.
I'd like to play the gift wrapped match again, no offense to Jake, but he can play like an idiot.
In short I played heat wave on the deck turn turn 4 and turn 6 on his initiative and still lost turn 6. It basically stunned his board apart from black bolt. It's an awesome deck. Don't believe me? Build it and prove yourself wrong.
P.S. Joe, our game went to 6, not 5. I got to play Strange. Not that it helped, and clearly I'm just being pedantic.
EDIT: That watcher dude seems a bit crap. (unless seeing the hands helps you a lot?) For FF4 I'd run Herbie. If they play a defense pump you could move the bands for a +2/+2. Also, more crucially, he has attack 2. Either that or Ultimate Human torch.

I've never seen anyone run Stamford Incident in a deck, and I've always been put off by the discard myself. It's certainly good in the right situation, but worth a slot that could be Omni/PA/Death of a dream? I'm not convinced.
I have no idea how he beat Spidey 4 + wraps, but he did with a PA in sight. The guy playing Spidey was a n00b though. ;)
I think the discard to Stamford is kinda negligible. Most, not all, instances will have you with 2 or less cards in your hand between turns 3-7. And if you use those cards before playin Stamford you need not worry about ther discard.

Don't compare Incident to Flame Trap. Compare it to say Mikado and Mosha with rebuy locations. Instead of stun, recur, stun, recur, stun, you get a single card that incapsulates all that functionality and probably costs you less cards over with an effect that is considerably less symmetrical.
Keep in mind that your opponent is not only losing cards when you SI, he's also losing RP which is a huge deal.
I've been pretty impressed by it. I remember one game where I SI'd on turn five, and underdropped the rest of the game but I still won simply because he couldn't deal with a five drop and a four drop swinging. Black Man + SI strikes me as a win condition of it's own.
As an ademdum, or however it is spelled, If Shield Simmer/Burn and Moloids, et. al. are still played SI will be pretty good. Not flametrap good, but in certain circumstances a boon to be included in decks.
"You can recruit a character card revealed this way..."
Oops you're right. I even read the "if you haven't recruited a card with the same name this turn" part before I recruited Q-bands too. I still think I could have won without Q-bands though. Double Surveillance Pawn with 8 or 9 non army characters out is still pretty good.
I still need to test against SI though. My hypothesis is I can still drop a ton more guys after the SI as long as I have SRA out.
This deck will auto lose to Black Manta + SI though. I recommend 3-4 Omni.
But do people actually play SI? No one does near me. If it's not played, you get to not worry about it. Maybe in the same deck as Boris, Alfred or Cosmic Cube, but even then...
I am kinda shocked you didn't put in any Alpha Flight... Their team up card allows for 2 affiliations plus Alpha Flight affiliation, but yours was 9-0 so I prolly have no idea what I am talking about.
