Well Shift has been clearedso lets get some ideas flowing. Here is what I came up with. Team up X-men and Exiles. 4th turn Illyana, 5th turn the new Jamie. Jamie gets stunned remove him from the game, get 5 Multiple Man from MVL into play. Have a Children of the Atom on stand by for Illyana just in case she gets stunned. Next turn Fastball Special Galore.

biggest problem would be how it wins
but how cool would it be!!!!!!!!!!!!
so far i only like it becasue turn one can really be boring in silver...and many turns just say nah...why not save that resource point effectivly for a later date

Shifting isn't Recruiting, either the first time or when it comes back in.
Here we go: ok, I'll shift a 6 or 7 drop on turn 1, and I'll gradually put more counters on it until turn 6 or 7, when I get a "free" character.
Want to live that long?
Here's a combo: Natasha Irons plus Invisible Woman plus two copies of Carrying the Torch and a copy of Stars and stripes says every attack does 3 damage.
Use the rest of the points for shifting. Add in life gain and alternative recovery/reinforcement effects for consistency.
In the Night Vision article that went up today (plug plug), I mentioned that presenting an overwhelming number of targets is a good counter to control. Not long after I finished the article, they previewed Shift, which manages that in a really elegant, innovative way... R&D are awesome. That is all.
Remove X shift counters >>> Put this card into play if you control X or more resources, where X is its cost. Use only during your recruit step.
So shift gets around loyalty?
No, TBS stated that Shift checks loyalty just like Subsitute.
On another note.
Turn one Shift Magyk
Turn 2 give Magyk one counter and play a one drop
Turn 3 play Miguel and exhaust their three drop
Turn 4 Play Blink and bring in Miguel and pay a resource and bring onto play Magyk
Thats 2 three drops and a four drop on 4 and all 3 of them have auto- recovery due to Magyk's power.
