Believing that WK might actually do a set like this is giving them a little too much credit I think. I mean, they'd actually have to read comics to know there was all this wrestling going on in the MU. This is why we need people like you to let them know all the possibilities their little game could reach.
I totally understand the choice to walk away. Its something I'm working through myself. But I at least had to get my War of the Realms and Loki sets out of my system before I do. Probably a Future Avengers set too (something's gotta be done about your kids!) I personally concider your leaving the greatest tragedy of the new rules, right next to losing pushing. I hope to see you back sometime. Maybe you can find a venue that is sticking with the old rules. I know a bunch by me are.
hey, a man can dream. that's where hope whispers to us, after all.
thank you for your kind words, and your support. i appreciate your insights and let's have a good time one more time, eh?

Wonderful dial for Agatha. I love how she powers up after using her prob.
thank you, kindly. she's got the 1 trick, but it plays off (hopefully) not like a one-trick pony in the variety you can pull from her after pulling it off
you get the same starting click in all 4 options, but the option of which one to lead off with does matter in the case of pushing, plinking or poison eliminating the options. the options are here because i deliberately wanted to be evocative of the madame web dial. i see these two women as a similar role for different KWed circles and giving you the different flavors of the support packed with different takes on her "empowered"/"revealed" form helped to add depth to her witchy role

What a lovely surprise Aggy is and you even worked Ebony into the dial.
It Was Agatha All Along, and here is where the magic is made ( literally! ) not only do you get improved Outwit and Perplex but a healthy dose of Prob to go with it.
Then when you think you can do without that oh so useful Prob you can choose between the smorgasbord of Agatha flavor clicks.
.....Okay technically smorgasbord means "Open faced sandwich", but I'm from Texas and to me it means buffet....pardon, allergies have turned my brain into a strange place today.
Click Two, EBONY, huzzah! You thought you were picking on a little old Prob lady, but Aggy isn't your average rookie Destiny, she's got teeth ( and claws! ). I'd love to see this on the map.
Player one: "Ha, that's enough of that Prob, you're done son!"
Player two: "Aaaaand I turn to click two and Flurry you with BCF"
Player one: "....but, but little old lady"
Player two: "Little old lady, with VERYANGRY cat"
Click Five, Agatha becomes a super efficient combat medic with the ability to make sure she can triage in peace with a little Force Blast and Impervious.
Click Eight, Aggy decided to roll up her sleeves and get stuck in. Not only does she have a trio of classic support powers but her Phasing/Teleport makes sure that she going to get where she needs to be.
Click Eleven, Now we get a particularly witchy click, with Mind Control, Barrier and Shape Change she's now we've completed the rainbow of support and can bend the wills of men!....and robots, monsters and even politicians!
For twenty points you've got a 10 range super Prob machine with the option to shift into any support role you need. I wouldn't run a team she has keywords for without her!
i am glad you're excited for agatha to show up here. the reason is because
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
of her recent stint in wandavision. even seeing it coming, it was a fun reveal and the super catchy "it was agatha all along" just asked to be clicked. the set was good and closed and dagnabbit i just had to dial her and the idea for it came quick. and since i wasn't gonna have any other sets to put it in later, she was part of the big push i had to expand the set beyond normal limits. but getting her in here became a must for me.
and posting her now seemed timely, following up john walker's debut in falcon & winter soldier last week, it's two breakout characters from disney+ mcu shows
the idea of the sp is that while you can counter her allies' outwit or perplex (and keep them from using it again next turn), existing effects linger because ...it was agatha all along actually doing it and using them as a patsy. and once she uses her pc+ to override the roll with her re-roll it was because ...it was agatha all along . and once revealed, well, lets see what see looks like this game
the stealth flavor from suzy q made for a great lead-in to the agatha reveal onto her flavor and the track of support gets its flowing flavor from her spell to undo all the reality warping shenanigans of salem's seven's trip to nyc during fantastic four annual 14 when she straight up owned them with franky in tow to get a lesson along the way. it was an epic issue for her and made for some good flavor fuel for her other powers
but the nicest thing is the super iconic image from the official handbook of agatha included ebony in it and that made for a great inclusion with the click 2 i was definitely going to design. with all the second click options, i tried to keep them internally balanced so that each one was viable and no 1 was the obvious pick. ebony is high dmg but no range. the medic is extra sturdy, the governess is the most vulnerable but has the most support, and the witchy click can pull off bigger swings with stronger opponents

We Never Did Find Out Which Of Us Is Faster, Did We, Mutant?
Comet Bursts
The Living Comet
Solar Squadron
You Haven't Changed A Bit Since We Met In The 30th Century, Quicksilver
Okay, I admit it you got me completely by surprise with this one.
And you even made him a Common so everyone would get a shot at him.
You know you've tempted me to run a couple of Oort-y's.
Does this mean we're getting a "Legion of the Unliving" sub-theme?
You've managed to jam pack flavor into a dial with no specials, vanilla dials can be incredibly expressive when done right and Oort is a perfect example.
Oort is going to be absolute murder on swarm teams and support, zoom in with that 14 swing and triple target Energy Explosion for devastating results!
"I may not see the road I ride for the witch-fire lamps that gleam;"But phantoms glide at my bridle-side, and I follow a nameless Dream." R.E. Howard
Love me some triple target energy explosion and that enhancement is really nice as well. EE and Incap are powers I have a hard time seeing on a one target figure, especially if they are above a 60-70 points.
Also glad to see the Limbo keyword continuing from the Avenegers Forever/Kang set.

ha ha ha, yes! to surprise and delight is my goal . oort was another later addition that i was able to get into the set once i expanded the size to accommodate agatha. 3's enough to tango for a subtheme, and oort is closing it out here along with left winger and right winger as the only 3 members of immortus' legion of the unliving that are unclixed. i felt bad that he was a hold out just because there is next to nothing about him . seriously, he's in a handful of panels in the limbo battle, introduced as a villain they haven't yet faced (makes it seem more cross-temporal to have villains from the past and future) and then gets a casual mention by songbird in avengers forever as someone her future avengers had just fought (along with his solar squadron, thank you mysterious new kw) because busiek is the king of continuity and was the only one that wanted to play with a tool that had been totally set up for future use.
if i could write an avengers run, i'd totally finally make cannon songbird's team (wasp, thor, wolverine, genis vell, songbird, spiderman 2099, jack o' hearts) and add quicksilver in a fight against oort and get this thing cemented
i mean, can we talk about how cool the concept is of establishing continuity before it is? and making a rival to quicksilver really gives pietro so much more respect and hero cred than most writers let him have.
i really wanted him in avengers forever, but a combination of no room and not enough material kept him out, despite linking the main source material to the limbo subtheme even more. but here i decided to take on the challenge and do what i could and i am very glad to get this notoriously non-notorious gem into play

most definitely. the more s the merrier. and becomes a big incentive in play. with the sparsity of material to work with for oort, i had to use it all and wring it out on the flavor. i decided to go vanilla with it, so as to not overstep in the wrong in the case he ever did get fleshed out in the comics
so what we know of him, is he's "the living comet," arch-rival to quicksilver, from the future, leader of the ambiguous solar squadron, he (at least thinks he) is as fast as quicksilver, and throws multiple comet blasts. so i went with high speed rs to get attention, the afore mentioned to make his mark, kept the range emphasis going with the esd and enhancement and decided a little end dial pc to rep the future to keep the dial from being monotonous. to add some character to the flow, i decided that the end dial he'd drop the ee and gain higher raw dmg while his attack goes low, give it a bit of a frustrated unleashing of power feel to it
i'm really glad that wildfire oort the living comet is being appreciated for the neat guy he really could be. oort fans, unite!

Where Is This Guy's Center Of Gravity?
You're On My List
He's Below My Weight Class
A Human Wrecking Ball
He's Not Invulnerable, But It Doesn't Matter
He's Doing Things The Human Body Isn't Meant To Do…
You can never get enough generic muscle and Bruiser is the Nascar driver of villainy.
I'm glad you've gone with options to use both his power levels, he's a serious street level threat. He's not going to phase Thor or Iron Man, but he's going to make Spider-Man work for it and you've got that across beautifully.
....Besides in this set of Brutes he fits in perfectly.
He's going to be extremely flexible on the map and hopefully players will think to do more with his Self-Perplex that continually up damage.
He's a brilliant muscle piece with tremendous potential and the kind of thing that the game sorely needs.
He's going to be sink or shine depending on the skill of the player and your willingness to push your luck in a tight situation.

absolutely! shades of WoS doc ock so that your game shifts as you throw your weight around
what a nifty character he is. i've been trying to find a place for him in sets for ages and you're right in that this one seems a good fit. brutes 'r us! as the sponsored villain of choice, he gets to break theme but comes with the theme of the various teams that have already paid for advertising space on his suit. that should up the quotient on a lot of littler teams that don't get as much love (or muscle) and the added proviso of the "when in rome" effect makes him the wildest of wildcards, so long as he's fitting in with the crowd. on top of that, i thematically added the shared hired muscle as a way-back-call-back to my daredevil set of yester-yore where he woulda coulda shoulda been
honestly, that right there is enough neato for me, but beyond the everyman's goon concept, they gave him a really neat powerset. trying to capture that in the (and offsetting it with the PROTECTED: Perplex so that he doesn't get dumb) making you have to think through your actions. maybe you opt for +2 speed and grab a heavy on the way. maybe you dump into attack because you're going to quake. maybe daredevil is giving you heat, so a +2 defense is in order. the more flexible player will hopefully get more out of him. i gave him fairly steady and mediocre stats to keep him in check and give you a pallet to play off of. like ritz crackers, delicious mini-plates

Promoter, an excellent use of Mojo as a mini-resource and even without the most superlative Jumping The Shark to recommend it well worth the 10 point investment.
Speaking of Jumping The Shark, that's a heck of a great way to start off the 90 point dial.
Mid-Season Replacement, hehehe, thank you for keeping so delightfully on theme with his most sinister spinelessness. Everyone likes a little bit of shock reveal don't they?
Formatted To Fit Your TV, and finally Mojo has dipped into the most heinous evil of all....PAN & SCAN! The mind-numbing mendacity of it shocks and appalls!
It also clears out any figures that want to lurk in their starting area making mischief without coming out to play. Bad show you lurkers, Mojo will spank!
You've made Mojo not only effective, but fun......well done sir!

OK, that was an unhappy rabbit hole... I was trying to figure out Malus's Vet dial, and somehow ended up reading about Malus being digested by carnage and becoming a hybrid-symbiote...And this is why I don't miss reading the mainstream universe comics.
On the other hand, as the frightful four's symbiote, this dial does not disappoint. The back up power is cool, if inexpensive, way of getting a ton of support powers on this guy in the right build. All of it is gravy anyway because he's a beast of a dial. Solid, if not modest, attack values are offset by some good damage reducers and range/damage options.
But I save the best for last. That 25 point dial is off the hook. That empower is perfect for this set. This dial is the way I want to remember Dr Malus.
Oh what a great dial for this set (and others). The lack of range requirements on the damage SP really makes this power shine in the set. I love the interaction with Thing's dial and it's 11th click. (I'm also thinking of some hulk dials this might just make insane...
Either point value it is a steal in this set. The sideline effects would be a fun event dial like play. If you were lucky enough to live on one of those last couple clicks, you could turn the game around.
Really great work on a pair of critical character to the set's theme.
Yes! Love this guys special powers. You absolutely nailed it. I will play him all the time so I can do my best Darcy impression and saw "They recast (character name)!)"
This guy is hitting so many sweet spots for me. Favorite villains keywords, keyword shenanigans, wild card, multiperplex. Lots of fun packed in here.
thanks, bruiser just pops as the evil booster gold . getting to sneak onto any weaker or less diverse kw will add a lot to your collection and pump up those less-optimal lineups with extra muscle. the perfect merc effect for the wildcard in need of a team. and getting to build theme for the ones listed and pack the ttpc for them will make those already printed teams even more effective.
when he came out swinging in daredevil, he made a most auspicious debut. he hasn't done a whole lot since, sadly. mostly group shots of rando villains and the like. though he did show up in mercs for money with a crossover for some other folks i included here so that was a nice unexpected connection and his attire made for easy resculpt fodder for the gravity feed. my hope is this would be a surprise and delight for collectors and get them introduced to a neat and underused character. but that's practically a subtheme here in all my sets

wonderful alliteration as always, my friend
the chase theme was all about showman, promoters, behind-the-scenes advancers, so mojo just fits this set a ton for not being part of the main theme. more and more, it seems that celebrity kw is the go-to here
speaking of KWs, star-studded extravaganza was a mild kw cheat to let you get a "guest starring" billing for a character of your choice. at that point, you're upgrading a celeb to mojoverse for the generic to named kw upgrade (*ahem* i stand by it) but the main effect here is for his team up card. i'm dabbling with them here for the first time, but i'm not getting crazy with it. no excessive numbers (8 total and 1 per person, heck, 1 per rarity), no crazy effects (or rather limited/fair as i put added restrictions into them) and no crazy collation (you get the character, he comes with the card, EVERY time guaranteed). so chase with a TUC shouldn't be a pucker moment, it'll show up. for the TUCs i'll go ahead and also reveal that their own theme is the multiverse format established by wrestling. since so many dimensions are represented here, it was the way to deliberately nod to it. on mojoverse theme teams, they get a potent upgrade for the uniques on your force. it's a rather limited pool (basically mojo and the notorious wxm spiral) but in addition to future inclusions, the kw cheat here lets you grab a unique celebrity and grant them the bonus, too. the reasoning behind it is the star-studdedness of it, but also mojo's boast that of all the multiverse there's only the one mojoverse, making it (wait for it) unique in the multiverse
the rest of the dial was a head-first dive into tv tropes, terms and gags. why not, right? he's made for fourth-wall breaking fun. and of all the concepts of television that most scream chase, let's jump the shark!. since the promoter angle is about adding powers to your force, i decided to up that ante, jumping its shark by letting you build onto that with the impressive amount of that's rainbowed onto his dial.
i'm so glad you like the formatted . the gag here is changing the aspect ratio of the map, shrinking cinema to tv by chopping out the starting areas. that anti-turtling of it fitting his more action more drama personality is cherries on top and definitely swings both ways. on top of that, the map conditional pt/poison is to affect his dominion over his homefield or that wicked anti-life field he generates when he's away from home. it's a subtle nod, but it's the little things, my friend, what makes the world turn

hahaha, nice darcy reference. if it give you that fun table-talk experience, that's what i'm all about
mid-season replacement was just a juicy flavor that had to show up, mid-dial of course, and used as an uber replacement effect, naturally. it designed itself. it also lets you change up tempo and go for different tactics when things are going south, as they surely must be if mojo's on click #9. but worry not fans! he has ways to stay in syndication after a robust close up during sweeps week and heal himself back to the other side of the STOP click to get the most out of it
i just really tried to have a lot of fun with it, hoping y'all would, too, if i did. sure he's got a lot going on (he's a complicated guy) but too much of that fun flavor was designing its own effects for me. and with mojo, you just don't leave anything on the table
