He has telepathy on par with Professor X! Same reason why I gave him Psychic Blast in Character Creation.
Mister Sinister was never known to be an outstanding fighter which is probably why his attack tops out at a 9. However, his powers and near invulnerability made up for his lack in fighting skills. What doesn't make sense is why Wizkids only gave him one click of invulnerability? He should start with impervious and then go down to invuln, then to toughness. As people have stated before, his only weakness was Cyclops' optic blast, everything else did not affect him.
One thing that confuses me is why does Sinister have PB? I don't remember him having any psychic powers in the comics. Although it's been a long time since I've read those old X-men comics and his powers were never fully revealed. He was always a mysterious character looming in the shadows.
Shape Change, Regeneration, Perplex, and Outwit all make sense but thought he should have gotten phasing too. An 8 range would have made him better, but how do you measure how far an energy blast from your hands can go? Anyways, I always liked the character because he was so mysterious and a brilliant mastermind (something he could have been given too, but I'd rather have damage reduction powers) so I'll look forward to getting him.
You know, I was expecting him to fall in the V Rasputin, U Mordru, U Leader, and V Diablo range. But he falls surprisingly short. I expected him to be in that 109-115 point range and be a WP guy....
I'm glad they made him, and I'm looking forward to having him, and using him, but he is a bit of a letdown.
Whoever said that he was better than most of the uniques in the last set, was smoking dope. I Thought CM had some great Uniques....so far, Ultimates is shaping up to be worst than that, and CM was Marvel's most diappointing, set to date....
1/6th of the Brothers Prob. '19-'20 Season: 15-13(8 events) 2 wins, 2nd XDPS PR 9-7, 7th SOC

He meant Unleashed, but your comment is still valid. Claiming this guy is superior to any Unleashed Unique besides Bones, Nubia or Silver Swan is just being futile and a little bit silly.
Retired, as per WK's rotation and judiciary replacement decisions. Talk about metaception.
Nice i like him seems like a good guy to shot those bricks without range while they are being tied up. Then when you clear you can perplex up the guy holdin them their for pot shots.
I've never seen Sinister prove to be anything more than a durable scientist. I've never seen him blast his way through an army - or tangle with the Marvel power houses.
He did keep Sabertooth in line Vader style in one of his first appearances when Sabertooth was acting up. That's got to count for something.
the talk of his stats sound fairly acurate to the comics should be intresting to actually see the dial
on the other hand, why do i get this feeling that Ultimates is going be another chase for the uniques and one to two REV's and the rest of the set is blah blah blah
i hope this doesn't turn into another critical miss
He seems like a decent character, someone fun to use in theme teams and depending on the rest of his stats he could pretty nice. I think the problem comes in that with the hugely powerful Uniques in the last set everything else the comes out seems rather lacking. Personally I don't see how Critical Mass was so bad. And as far as Ultimates I cannot wait, Cap, Thor, Phoenix, Hulk, possibly Iron Man, Hellcat, Captain Britian, Magneto, and The Wrecker. Plus even some of the other redone character.
Mr. Sinister was one of the lamer X-Men villians from a period of time when the X-Men writing was weak at best.
Mr. Sinister what a great name, ranks up there with, oh, Rocket Racer.
I'll be the first to concur that Mr. Sinister is a dopey name. But the fact that he's from the mid 1800s mitigates that a bit. It's more of an old-school kinda name.
And DC freaks shouldn't be talking about lame names.

I never understand comments like this.
OF COURSE bumping his range up two more would make him better. OF COURSE raising his attack value would make him better. This is universal, you can say the same thing for every fig that's ever been made. Is it just a 'pointing out the obvious' thing?
Seems that every fig that comes out with less than 8 range or a 10 attack or a 17 defense gets the same comments. "An 8 range would be better. A 10 attack would be better. I don't like that weak 16 defense." OF COURSE they'd be better. They are higher stats! NO DUH!
Maybe I'm just being anal retentive, but I get all bugged when I see these needless-to-says being said all the time.
Nothin' personal. I also get all bent outta shape when people say 'hella.'
