Actually, Boomer's not even Digger anymore. He still looks and talks like Digger, even still has his Brightest Day light-rang powers, but now he's got Owen's name?

I figured since Digger was resurrected by the White, he would work, but yeah; The Top's been back a few times, iirc. His powers are so bizarre, haha.

Are Rookie, Experienced, Veteran (Yellow, Blue, Red) background colors gone on figures starting with War of Light? None of the figures have the colored background anymore.

And yet the multi-pointed characters still have Red/Blue/Yellow numbers to indicate different starting points.

Yeah, and it's funny they're including him in the Fast Forces, since he hasn't actually been seen with the New 52 Rogues at all. *facepalm*

I hope we get a classic Digger as well though (with Suicide Squad keyword). Rag Doll and Golden Glider being included gives me some hope.

I don't usually take jerk positions about continuity, but simply put, what we have now isn't Digger, either in the Nu52 or original continuity right before the reboot.

Easy one: Nu52 does not act like Digger. Regardless of name confusion, I consider him a different character.

Hard one: His body was used as a Black Lantern Reanimated (where he 'assimilated' Owen as well) and he was involved in the mass resurrection in a younger body and in peak physical shape. This Captain Boomerang is confused, told to go throw a (lethal!) boomerang at Dove as part of a dick-move plan by The Entity to save Hawk. The plan not working isn't the point. You want to tell me the Entity representing Life in the Universe is redeeming you that way, fine, I'll buy it, I'm reading a comic. But Captain Boomerang's redemption is not redemptive. It's hardly even a contract in the form of "Go do this thing and I'll bring you back." What is he shown doing in the aftermath of trying to skill someone because he was told to? Find a way to regain Black Lantern powers. He neither grows, nor regresses as a character: he's a plot element with the name Captain Boomerang, a younger body, and who does not act like Digger. Captain Boomerang is dead, long live Not-Captain-Boomerang.

Well on the White Lantern thing I think the point was that the Entity needed to restore Deadman to his state. I agree not very redemptive but then again

No it won't. They destroyed the Blue Lantern Corps during some terrible GL arc that is best forgotten (like 90% of the Nu52, let's be honest, here).

Edit: For those that need it explained, it means that there is literally no hope in the DC Universe, now.
