The cool thing is that you can sorta keep playing even after you die, though of course the rez thing is an issue. I understand it cannot work with a rez until it happens at least.

I mean really your only other options as a dude is an evil sneaky mage and a creepy Italian elf.
At least in 2 you had the choice of a psychotic mage, a syphilitic pirate, an emo beyblade and an adorable Scottish elf who only practices demon blood magic in her spare time.
Morrigan might be an evil sneaky mage, but I had one of the coolest conversations with her when I was romancing Leliana as a male human noble and she was also high approval.
As far as 2 goes... there's few things more hilarious as a sarcastic mage than to romance Fenris, the NPC who Hates All Magic.
"WHAT GOOD HAS MAGIC EVER BROUGHT TO THIS WORLD?!?"
*mage-Hawke gives Fenris puppy eyes*
"I... I should go."

I'm in the middle of Inquisition for the 1st time, and....is there a pair of legs that I can't hit on?

Not really, no. But the actual consummation is limited.
Actually, I take that back, I don't think you can hit on Varric. (Pity.)
If you want the full list of romance options...
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Cassandra - Male only
Sera - Female only (prefers Qunari, elves have to work harder)
Cullen - Female human/elf only
Solas - Female elf only
Blackwall - Female only
Dorian - Male only
Josephine - Any
Iron Bull - Any

I think it's super weird that there are so many characters in the series that are homosexual, and yet:
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Dorian's a homosexual and this is a big goddamn surprise-fest, and is cause for great discussion. Homosexuals? *shake jowels* What are...homosexuals, Precious?
Seriously?
Like, nearly everyone in Thedas is bi-sexual. How have you not noticed this? Even when you hit on people who are straight, they don't get weird about it. It's probably the 80th time they've been openly propositioned by a same-sex someone that month.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about Dorian's dad and all that stuff. That, while sad, makes sense, given Tevinter culture. But when the Inquisitor needs help understanding what "Likes the company of men" means, I was immediately irritated.

See, to me, I took it as:
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
The Inquisitor being more amazed that this was like, any sort of thing.
As in,
"I prefer the company of men."
"... and?"
"Um, that's it."
"ARE YOU ####ING KIDDING ME DORIAN? HOW BACKWARDS IS TEVINTER?!?"
Though, she might have been a little bit cheesed that all the flirting with Dorian wasn't going anywhere... but that's how I remember it playing out when I did that scene. It's been a little while though, but my impression was always that my Inky was confused not at the homosexuality, but that it was that big a deal.

Technically with DLC you and Harding are an item if you didn't romance anyone else and you flirted with her. There is no cutscene sexy time confirmation about it, but Viv does ask you about it. It is a shame because Bioware is way more Dwarfist then they are homoignorant.
Also, in Josephine's side quest if you're unattached you can screw your way to quest completion which amused me.
I actually think Inquisition handles sexuality in the most mature way of all Bioware games, as weird as that seems. The romance options and qualifications you need to woo them are not just generic and universal.
I still can't bring myself to bang Iron Bull though, even if I'm an Adaar. I've been compared to Freddie Prinze Jr so much that I've developed disdain for him being in my Bioware games. TBF though the only dude that I didn't find unbearably douchey in their romance options for my fem characters in all Bioware games was Thane, I guess I just have things for fatalists with a code. I did an RP play through as a fem shep where I romanced Kaiden but decided to save Ashley because I sent her with Kirrahe and destroying the AA tower seemed "more important" as the bomb would go off no matter what...didn't really change much, which was disappointing.

Well, I tried romancing Solas with a female elf, but it was just too creepy so she decided to go Bullriding instead. (Of course, I had finished the whole game + DLC at that point, so I knew what was gonna happen...)
It actually was pretty funny, though I think you should be able to have a three-way relationship with him and Josie.
Oh, and Thawmus? Save the Chargers.
Seriously. Save the Chargers.

See, I was hoping that sort of reaction existed, and I didn't feel that I got/gave it.
Like the Inquisitor asks 20 questions until he then finally asks why this is a big deal. Like he needs to know, how does gay intercourse work? Do you like all men, or just some men? Can gay sex make babies?
I exaggerate, but this is because in my head this is how it should have gone down:
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Dorian: "I like the company of men."
Inquisitor: "Almost everyone in Thedas is bisexual. What's the problem?"
Dorian: "It's a Tevinter thing. Keeping bloodlines pure and all."
Inquisitor: "Got it. That's ####ed up. Did you tell your dad that's ####ed up? Tell him that right now, and then listen to what he has to say after rolling this #### around in his head for the past several years."
Dorian: "Only if you bang me later."
Inquisitor: "Done."
This is also probably why video game RPG's will probably never be as satisfying as tabletop, for me. Some scripts are hard for me to deal with.

So all is Bioware talk has me thinking about replaying the Mass Effect trilogy... but I've been wondering if it's really worth it. For reference, my original play through was a Paragon FemShep soldier (3x Liara romance) and I was really satisfied with how that story played out (ignoring ending stuff because what're ya gonna do). Is a Renegade play sufficiently different? Can you be a renegade without just pissing everybody off and killing all your potential crew?
It doesn't have a huge effect overall, but its worth it for quest resolutions.
You can have a completely loyal crew and successfully complete the suicide mission with no casualties as a full on Renegade, just max out persuasion as usual.
My FemShep was a Vanguard Orphaned Earther Sole Survivor who romanced dudes who kept dying (Kaidan, Thane), RPwise I enjoyed it, especially when she just said #### the reapers at the end and blew up everything, ending actually felt right in the case. Unfortunately there wasn't enough code for her and Jack to have a who has had a ####tier life-off. Her relationship with Jack was much different then my Male Paragon who dumped Ashley for Jack. But then again Jack and Miranda in Nightmare seemed like a necessity (My male shep is an Infiltrator) and Miranda just never interested me as a character.
Speaking of awesome choices, I just preordered Andromeda.
Fixed.
And I had it preordered for a while now, the only real issue for me is if it came with its own custom XB1S console, in which case, "YES I WOULD GET AN XBOX-1S FOR THIS SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!"
As it is, gonna play on the Xbox to take advantage of my new TV. Mrowr.
And I just couldn't bring myself to be enough of a jerk to be THAT Renegade, at least in the first game. Second and third games, I was about 100% Paragon and 50% Renegade at the end, more or less. But then, first game Renegade = alt-right, whereas second/third you're more Jack Bauer.

Yeah, In the first game it was pretty difficult to be full on Renegade until endgame but it's still very Human first. The Rachni and whether or not to save the Council were the only Renegade choices that didn't seem like I was being a total dick and was actually making a correct choice from a story standpoint, but man I really wanted those Platinum trophies, now I don't even own an Xbox so no one knows that I even had them.
