That will be expensive.
The gem alone will be up of $100.
I'm not sure if this Thanos is meta. The Ego Gem is big, but I can see that ending up on other characters, not just him. He can kill bystanders really well, but other pieces that are more readily available can do that too, and for less points. His Perplex potential is really good, but again, he's an Ultra Chase, and is 110 points at minimum, so I can't see a lot of meta teams picking him over another support piece.
He's really good, and seems like he'd be a lot of fun to play, but I don't see a lot of top tier teams using him. Other pieces can match his potential but with less investment.
I wouldn't call the Ego Gem very meta. Meta is face paced. You can't sit around building up your team. The only way the Ego Gem is useful is if you take the time to equip it, and 2 others. Unless you play one of the few characters that will be able to start the game with the Ego Gem equipped(it must be the first one equipped), this will take at least 3 rounds, 30 points in gems, 20+ points in Leadership to keep equipping, and not be able to act until the 4th round, assuming you are lucky on the Leadership rolls, all to just gain the effects of a 2nd gem on 1 character. In a slow paced, thematic, play till you win scenario, it could be very fun, but not in meta.
Nuts, one of my favorite versions of Thanos and part of a storyline that lead to the formation of the modern Guardians of the Galaxy and was lets face it a reintroduction to Marvel's cosmic universe.
Annihilation and it's sequels are all more than worth reading.
This'll be the first Ultra-chase I'll really miss not having.

I would think at the very least it would nearly confirm NEMESIS then
Is there anything of interest about Nemesis that would give reason for a clix figure? Seems more a bit of history and worldbuilding than an actual character worth making.

this thanos has meta potential on a vulture team. 110 pts vs starfox 80 gives you a much better secondary attacker, one more use of perplex that grants pc to counter unseen's outwit on charge, and the ability to perplex up damage with the +2.

This too. For some reason I read it as "start the game equipped with" rather than just being able to be equipped with them, so the Ego Gem isn't going to see basically any meta play. I'm not sure if this Thanos is going to be sought after for high level play. He doesn't even seem like anything beyond a SR slot, nothing about him is totally bonkers or broken.

Agreed. This figure is strong, but so are a lot of comparables. And powers like Sidestep and Support don't make for compelling tentpoles. They aren't really holding this dial back, but neither do they make him stand out among the crowd.
